I want to see more of Li Qi's routine. The connections are so fast and original. Her layout and ariel walkover is just beautiful. Her beam needs more recognition. The only thing for her to do is to stay healthy!

Li Qi was so underscored in execution on that routine and I expect China to probably take at LEAST one model at Tokyo in beam. They are beam masters lately - the composition, simple yet elegant choreography, uniqueness of skills and connections (ie FHS to front tuck), and of course the execution

I know this comment is going to sound crazy. It makes me so nervous when I don't see the spring board moved. If they happen to fall I just hope they never fall on the spring board

Abby Anderson I completely agree with you. Gymnasts could get seriously injured by falling onto the springboard. Are the coaches not allowed to do it or do they just decide to not move it?

Abby Anderson that’s not crazy at all! Not moving the springboard is super dangerous and I don’t understand why so many coaches just aren’t bothering to move them out of the way. It’s a huge safety hazard and absolutely sloppy.

after worlds I thought this routine was overscored, but then I remembered there was not a single wobble or loss of fluidity, so its possible that if her rings were pretty much the main source of deductions. it probably wouldn't have edged Simone at worlds but I think it would've definitely been on the podium

Kara Amundson I wish Armine and Al would realize that they just can’t keep the rings in the routine because Kara doesn’t consistently get credit for them. But her artistry and poise is unmatched. I am so disappointed that she wasn’t on the podium at Worlds!

Rosa Denfert these gymnasts and their flexed and turned in feet are my pet peeve for sure. Come on girls, this is elites, let’s get a coach to show a proper turned out position which helps to show and extended line and use the correct muscles instead of muddling through with the wrong ones. 😺

Every time I watch girls on this bar, I get itchy. It just looks so dangerous, it looks so scary, yet these little angels make it look like a Sunday stroll through the park. I have my favorite, but I’m just going to say that every single girl here is incredibly talented, beautiful and amazing!! I wish they could give every one of the girls a gold medal, but then it wouldn’t be such special accomplishment. We always see gymnasts robbed , but i can not get over how kara lost gold and silver and even bronze were she clearly deserved to take gold and ended up,not medaling, yes her rings deserved being devalued, but its just so unfair when you finally find that routine that combines difficulty with graceful moves and fluidity, you dont need to like her just love watching her regardless, and i think she really worked hard and didnt get the recognition, now it would be harder to contend for a specialist spot in tokyo, time will tell

I'm not a huge fan of her and I don't think that with her current routine she should make it to Tokyo, but to say that she doesn't work hard enough because of a poorly constructed routine is ludicrous.
