You can rent at the station a OV fiets for €4,45 a day. Better then the tram and walking?

Definitely! If you‘re visiting Amsterdam then exploring it by bike is super fun and useful (and cheaper than the tram). You‘ll be able to get anywhere in the center really easily and more quickly than by walking. Can only recommend :)
