"The Gamecube was less powerful than the PS2". I can't trust anyone that ignorant, the GC could output 12-20 million polygon per second games with all effects running (of which it did more of and more advanced versions of), the PS2 could output 3 million. Get your facts straight before putting them into a video. The PS2's success wasn't about power it was initially because it was the cheapest DVD player on the market while being a console slightly stronger than the Dreamcast. Oh, and another inaccurate "fact" you made was about the PS1, the Saturn came out first, only by a couple of weeks but it was first.

One thing I thought that would be helpful and useful would be to put the "Years Active" alongside the name of the system, ie, NES Sold from 1980-90 or whatever it is, which I don't know, because it isn't there. Haha. This would provide a bit of interesting historical context as well as letting you sort of arrange things chronologically.

And unlike what he implied, the 3DS came out before the Wii U, and was a failure before Nintendo slashed the price and offered free goodies for those that bought it early on

lets be real... it always has been Japanese consoles and portable handhelds "Sony" & "nintendo" that always have been the best consoles that sold the most of anything else even if other console types where more powerful... BUT i am so glad Japanese Sony created glorious PlayStation which greatly changed all of gaming because gaming today would have been very pure boring without amazing PlayStation's innovative "out of this world" consoles, their innovative creative controllers, their unique portable handhelds, & their truly fun thousands of 1st/2nd/3rd party *Japanese*/Korean/Chinese/Asian games with a few of some western ones 1994 - present Long Live Sony, Ken Kutaragi, & all of Japan! = forever my favorite

I’d love to know where many of these numbers came from as my sources site different in some parts however I could just be very wrong. Commodore 64 was at least 12.5 million to possibly 30 not just 2.5 million. The vic20 sold about 2.5 million but your chart includes the Commodore 64 in that number which I believe is quite incorrect. For the sega genesis most numbers say over 30 million units and some as high as 40 million. The N64 sold nearly 33 million not 31. The sega saturn sold over 9 million units possibly as many as 17 million. Sega dreamcast sold just over 9 million but other numbers say possibly well over 10 million nearly 11. PSP sold more like 82.5 million not 80. I did find it odd that your gameboy/color numbers stopped for a while at the same final sales figures of the gameboy advance before continuing to what they ended up as. Then I noticed many of your sales figures show that ps3, Xbox 360 and others still were selling years after they had been discontinued. Again I’d love to read where you got your info as I’d love to learn different. I do love you’re one of the few places that say the ps2 sold more than 155 million units. I’ve found many numbers that say as high as 160 but yours says 162.5 million sold. I’d love to know where you read that as it makes me very happy to think the ps2 did even better. Finally this is just my opinion however, I think the ps4 may have cracked 120 million sold. My reason for this is that Sony posted the sales of 117 million a long time ago and everything I’ve read is that Sony is still producing some ps4 consoles. If that’s true maybe they could even crack 130 million by the time they are discontinued but I don’t know lol.

About Game & Watch: Nintendo released two new ones in 2020 and 2021: "Mario 35" and "Zelda 35". Game & Watch came out in april 1980, and I wonder why it's no sales data even at september 1980 after ~6 months of sales... Also note that TV-Game was Nintendo's first console: 1977-1983. Before Famicom. In this video it should be written "TV-Game" without that "color", same thing as we all count Gameboy Color as a part of "Gameboy". Famicom entered this video in Jan 1983, but it got released in Japan on July 15 in 1983. My advice is that you should double check all consoles' release dates, then adjust the video so the new consoles pops up at the correct dates. Hope you can update this video and maybe also work on the script. Also, you can pause the chart while talking if needed to cover a lot of facts. Otherwise I like the concept with talking/commenting the charts instead of just background music! But for this video I can really see room for improvements!

Hey, good points, some of these things i didn't vatch until i read your comment, but just one thing: Game and watch didn't release in the west for quite a while and they also didn't immediately sell all their units considering that they kept releasing new one for a few years.

In this video, Sega Master System sold 20,00 million units. According to Wikipedia it was 10-13 million. So what's your source for 20 million? I hope you can double check all your facts for this video. Do more reasearch. Then make a verison 2 of this video. Only watched 4 minutes and 10 minutes to go and I don't even wanna finish watching this. This video was too rushed...

I'm pretty sure the numbers include the brazilian releases under different names, those sold a ton as well but are still the same console. I'm not too sure about the specifics right now but as far as I'm aware some other publisher got distribution rights in brazil, rebranded the console into like 6 different names and milked it as much as possible

There is a Master System and a Master System 2, so pretty sure the sale numbers are added up in some statistics and separated in others.
