Hunter has like a 4.5-5.0 level first serve, but his groundstrokes and net game are very weak for a 4.0. I would say some strong 3.5 players would be able to beat him rallies, but they wouldn't be able to touch his serves. Brandon has a pretty good serve with explosive power on both wings, definitely a solid 4.5

I definitely agree but there’s days where he cannot miss. Thank you!

Hunter lets the ball drop too much on his forehand. He's constantly scraping it off the ground, causing mishits. He has to take it at its peak. Brandon's groundstrokes are really good. He doesn't have to work on his strokes at all, so it's all footwork if he wants to get better now.

Pure conjecture on my part. Brandon has the air of a guy that was a 5.0 at one time. Then life got in the way of tennis and he’s no longer at his top level, but still has skills. Actually this situation is quite common. Motivation, circumstance and time change people’s relationship with tennis. 😢

@@Dasato123 thank you!!! I actually just got bumped from 4.0 which took me two seasons to do. I’ve learned a lot in my transition from junior tennis to adult.

Fun match to watch, although I have to say; you have a Spooky sounding tennis commentary.

The serve was definitely higher than 4.0. I had faced even bigger serve at amateur level, serves that kicked above my head if I stood too close. But if I stood too far, then it could be out of reach. The difference between amateur big servers and high-level players is the first serve percentage and placement, so even though I could return only about 20% of such first serve, I didn't have to face it that often.

I think I'd try running you up and back as much as possible to turn your weight into a disadvantage. Drop lob drop lob & see how you handle that. Wear your down a little to try to take some energy out of your strong baseline shots. You've got the heft to bang away all day. Need to make you run.

Damn big boy earned my respect, had no idea u could generate that level bro. Your serve kinda too on top of your head, u needa toss slightly out front more and lean into in more with your weight. Your serve contact point looks a bit incorrect, other than that, Not bad as far as ground strokes for a guy of your physique (no disrespect)
@bktennis121 күн бұрын
I appreciate it haha. The physique definitely needs a lot of work and the serve as well.
