For controller slide/dive behaviour, give hybrid a try. If you hold in your left stick when pressing the slide button, you can dive. There’s zero delay with both the slide and dive. Might feel weird at first, but it feels really smooth if you can get the hang of it imo.

I think you got high dynamic range back to front. Higher dynamic range means there is a bigger difference between loud and quiet sounds. Same as monitor HDR, which allows really bright and really dark at the same time. If you want the game to make footsteps louder and gunfire quieter you need low dynamic range so everything is at a similar level.

Legacy mouse setting is a game changer, I tried all the relative coefficient settings (0.00, 1.33, 1.78) and it always felt off to me, almost like mouse acceleration was on. Definitely personal preference once or if you dive into what you like more and test them all out. To me legacy like marksman said “how it was in older cods”, it just feels like you’re getting the mouse’s raw input. Highly recommend testing it out if you haven’t and give yourself time to get used to it. Once I started playing BO6 I was wondering why my aim felt like it was on ice skates, sure enough I saw legacy wasn’t on changed it back immediately.

Corner slicing is a 1st person effect only anyway. Enemies won’t see you as leaning so there’s no benefit to using it

Unless your pc can actually run smoothly with full 100 render resolution do not crank it up. DLSS upscaling works well enough for you to barely notice any difference. Went from 40-45 fps to 60-70 just by lowering the render resolution and switching to DLSS.

Also if you're on controller and want to dive change your slide/dive behavior to hybrid. It lets you single tap to slide but you can tap slide while holding sprint to dive. It works really well.

Why are you using a 4090 with a 120hz 1440p monitor? I use 4k 240hz monitor with 4090 and am touching 200fps at 4k with fidelityfx cas, just with a few unimportant graphics settings to normal instead of maxed out. Just curious on this.

I use steel series sonar with my headset cause mine doesn’t have loudness eq. Basically you turn on their “Smart Volume” and it compresses the range as well to do the same effect :)

Important thing to note it seems like the upscalers are broken at the moment and cause worse then native performance ,at least on amd it seems to be the case. My 7900xtx goes from avg fps of 280ish on 1440p balanced settings to low 200s if I enable upscalers.

Hello, Marksman. There is a bug in the game, which was present in MW3 and has carried over to Black Ops as well. It’s related to auto-ping. Some players use devices like the Cronus Zen or Matrix to activate auto-ping while shooting. But that’s not the main issue. The real problem is that a dead player on the team can open the map and trigger auto-ping there too. Normally, auto-ping lasts for about 3 seconds, but if the dead player keeps repeating the process, it doesn’t turn off, essentially turning into a wall hack. Please, Marksman, help the Search and Destroy community.

What, they got rid of my other aim assist options? I liked precision. The auto rotation does too much, the adjustments I'm used to making while tracking, throw me off target when moving. And the slowdown bubble is too big. A good slowdown just over the target is more than enough to aim well imo. I hope it comes in an update.

I was having the same issue. If you use GeForce Experience go to settings and Games & Apps, make sure you have the Optimal Playable Settings turned off. That worked for me at least.

Sometimes I hear footsteps and sometimes nothing. I always verify that Ninja isn't being used. Also, my footsteps in the kill cam are so loud vs what I hear in game. Is this a me problem?

You don't want to set reflex to on + boost, you should do a benchmark and see if you're cpu or gpu bound. Boost is only for CPU bound cases.

Usually you have a CPU Bottleneck playing COD, and there is me with a 100% GPU bottleneck. Somehow my 4070 is a huge bottleneck for my Ryzen 7 7800x3D. I have even went undervolting my CPU to help my GPU out and when i run a benchmark on COD. I am only getting 130FPS... I am pulling my hair out a little bit.
