i wish this video was uploaded when i first got mine lol. the ACTUAL demonstrations will show people that there is NO perfect gimbal setting... It's all about which settings you're comfortable practicing with to master... if there were no calibration you'd have to just practice and adjust to gravity. Good shit though my man (edit) the only thing I will say is, if you use one of these to vlog, or primarily as a stabilizer, definitely set the pan to around 20degrees-30degrees, so your wrist isn't an issue as far as keeping yourself(vlog) or your subject in frame.

As somebody who is very knowledgable about the crane gimbal i wonder if you can help me out. I'm trying it on a tripod and do pans and tilts with the remote. I'm noticing that it is almost unusable though in that it constantly drifts in the pan axis for like 5-6 seconds when in anything other than locked mode. Problem is, in locked mode you can't control pan and tilt with the remote. have you had this same issue? when you have it on a tripod in anything other than locked mode does it drift? any solution to this? any way to make pan and tilt available with remote in locked mode via changing the settings in the app? thanks for you reply.

I have the Crane 3 lab paired with the Sony A6500. I'm very disappointed that camera control through the Zhiyun doesn't work while recording. ALSO video transmission and camera control are screwed up in video mode, only manual mode... which is also ridiculous. Is a firmware update to be expected to fix this?

I am struggling to get smooth footage from my zhiyun crane 2 and Sony A6500, I think I have tried everything but when I pan, tilt or move in any direction, I get these tiny jitters, would appreciate your help in getting smooth shots. I filmed in 25fps 4K. it is not a vibration issue but tiny jitters almost looks like missing a frame or two.

Matt Terry I found it in the Zy play app. You have to connect to your phone and crane 3. The settings found under “Scene Mode” an icon on the right side of the screen once connected, looks like a tripod in front of a window. Only issue is whatever settings I last picked are not defaulted to unless I connect my phone after every time I start the gimbal, no way to save, and use my settings without connecting my phone each time.

I use the ZY Play app too and cant get the gimbal to finally stop at the final point. It will instantly jump back to the default home position. Example i set point A to focus on a vase and then point B to a window. The damn thing wont finish and stay at that window. It will immediately JUMP to the start position. Any help from someone here who knows how to make it stay at the last waypoint/position being set ?

I have to give another name every time because it does not save over the old ones. My question is where are all those files? I recently purchased the Zhiyun crane and I been in a constant battle with the "Roll" When Im walking through a house (real estate videos) and round a corner into a room the gimbal rolls about 5-15 degrees and takes FOREVER to recover back to level position resulting in a worthless shot because the room is crooked, how can I fix this??

What's the point if the Crane itself resets to default every time you turn it off? Unless you plan on redoing it every single time (Yes, it only takes a few moments, but still. While working in the field, especially at a wedding, you're not going to want to keep resetting your settings. Sounds like this is a bug they need to fix).

You need to disconnect the gimbal then hit camera on the "connect device" screen to get the traditional screen with the settings icon for the control settings. Looking forward to Momentums thoughts on the settings though as I've set mine to suggest crane ones.

Hi, Josh, I am a new user with Canon 6d mark ii. I do have problems in setting up the Crane 2 with 6d mark ii. After balancing and restarting the Crane 2, I then turned back on the 6d mark ii to video function. However, it was all black screen with just a sketch diagram of a white cpu on the screen. Is it normal ? Is there any step I missed ? Did I need to see a check sign on Crane 2 after choosing the canon option ? Because I did not see it. How can I know it is properly connected ? Hey thank you so much for the video. How did you find to balance an A7RII with the GM 24-70 1.8 on the crane 2? Hey bud! Seen most your vids, great work! I just purchased a Crane Plus and I cannot for the life of me get the Sony Camera Control Line activated so that it recognises my Sony (A7rii). The manual says to "configure the stabiliser to suits ´Sony´in Gimbal Setting Screen, then save" but fails to mention WHERE this ´Gimbal Setting Screen´is! In past tutorials on youtube they refer to an app called Zhiyou assistant but it appears it's no longer available. From the ZY PLAY app there is no such setting. I'm 45 seconds from sending it back. =(

Hello. Do you know if it's possible to simulate a little bit of camera shake by tweaking these settings? That it looks a little bit more natural, and less cinematic and artificial. For example that people can see in my videos that I walk around with my camera, but that it's not annoyingly shaky, just a little bit (as the G85/G9 body only with IBIS on and lense). Hi Josh, When using the Crane 2, with the Sokani monitor (great recommendation!!) the HDMI cable provided will not allow for the mini usb to be plugged in. So I purchased an HDMI cable with a 90 degree bend. Now that I have both together, only the monitor works. The both will not work together. Any suggestions, how to correct that? Thanks! John
