I do use the mega more than the 455 but I look more for structure than I do fish. If your looking for fish or in deeper water it is definitely worth giving the 455 a shot. I usually switch to 455 when my water is mucked up with algae or pollen to clean out some clutter.

You get better definition when you set your range 5-10’ below depth

Not better definition but it gives you a better reference on size. If you leave it on auto you never really know how big what your scanning is.
