Best SIMPLE realistic steering settings for ETS2 / ATS

Using your advice, I've found it to be true. Perhaps you can also tell me how to adjust the settings in which when I do a bird's eye view, the steering is way way WAY different than while in the seated position. I'll often crash when I seem to be dramatically over steering in the bird's eye view while driving even slowly while picking up or dropping off. It's as if I can only steer right or left at or about 90 degree's unless I'm doing like ten miles and hour. You seem to be quite knowledgeable about this game. Is there a way to stop those dam "You've Discovered (name)". They have caused me, mostly at night, when there's some heavy traffic, not to see the car or truck in front of me as slowed down or stopped entirely.

Mod "Sisl_s Route Advisor" may help you with location discover problems as well as make your interface take much less onscreen space. I cannot promise that it will fix the location discovery problem, it may or it may not, I just can't remember, but even if not, it will mos def increase your gaming experience. Steering in bird eye view sounds really strange, I launched my game and checked how truck responds to steering in birds eye view and it's the same, wheels turning radious is also the same, it's just the camera that's different. Considering it's not technical fault (which it may be), maybe it's just your psychology? You don't see your wheel hence you oversteer or understeer because you can't see your steering wheel nor your wheels? If you play birds eye just because 1st person is not comfortable for you, press F4 and tweak your FOV and sitting position to your liking. This game was intended to be played from the cabin, any other default camera mod is there just in case.

The non-linear function makes it so that when you turn your wheel 90 degrees... the ingame wheel does NOT turn 90 degrees. Turning speed and linear is a settings enabling non-wheel users to play at all, without it being totally horrible. Driving a long the highway and or slowly forward / reversing is best and realistic when the wheel ingame turns at the SAME RATE, identical, as your steeringwheel.

Thanks man :) Maybe u can help but my game does not do sound when I hit the outer lanes of the road anymore, it worked before. No clue what happened.. Didnt change sound mods or anything.

I never had this, so I have only generic answers. Usually such things may be connected with mods. If you have any, turn all of them off and check the sound. Also, you can go to audio settings and change the source, maybe it will help. Also, is there any chance it's just because of the road that you on? Try travelling somewhere else :))

I noticed on my logitech G920 wheel that despite setting the steering to zero in the logitech software the truck pulls to the right when holding the wheel at dead center. Does anyone else have this issue?

They introduced torque steering into the game. So if it only occurs when you hit the throttle and have a heavy haul, you are felling the torque in the truck.
