I saw your bottom was about 15ft. What depth did you have your slip set to? Thanks for the great content!

I typically will set the jig at least 5ft off the bottom, but it would depend on where i see the school in the water column. I may set the jig to 5ft below the surface if the crappie are suspended that high up.

Hey. We just got a boat, and we are looking to get a fish finder. I’ve watched your videos on them but it didn’t truly answer our question on which one to get. We were deciding between a garmin striker plus 7sv, lowrance elite 7 ti2, hummingbird helix 5 chirp si g2, and a humming bird helix 7 chirp mega si gps g3. We like to crappie fish and would like to get into walleye fishing. We were wondering which one you would choose for our type of fishing, since it’s hard to choose on our own since we don’t know much about them. I would love if you could respond with an answer. I only use mono or fluorocarbon when using a slip bobber. No braid.
