I used to live there. Very nice people and a nice town with one exception; the place is crawling with law enforcement. Gem county is a small one community (Emmett) county. Emmett has both the sheriff's department and the city police department. There is about one cop for every ten people (slight exaggeration). They love to mess with you. It will get real old fast. For example, I worked late one night at my office preparing a bid package. On the way home, just driving through town, a cop about 19 and half stops me and asks me what I am doing. I tell him I am going home, what's the problem? He gets back in his car. Another example, a friend drives a log truck. Numerous times as he is driving into the yard of the truck owner in Emmett at 2 or 3 AM to go to work, he gets followed by one of the local cops. Way too many cops with too little to do.

How about hotels or inns there in emmett, are they available for the tourists?

Why don't you shut your mouth. We are sick of all the farmland being overrun with houses All they out of state people have driven the prices up so much that no one can afford to buy a house!

I would buy a new house in Emmett with the big barn garage. I’ll bring my hellcat 6.1 Charger my 392 challenger and I’d vote for Trump.

There's only one grocery store. No clothing stores or shoe stores. The streets are in bad shape. They are building subdivisions, so it's going to be exactly what you may be trying to get away from as Greg said.
