Best snorkeling and freediving under Anglin's Pier in Lauderdale-By-the-Sea, South Florida.

Anglins Pier in Lauderdale by the Sea (Fort Lauderdale) is the amazing snorkeling spot! Recently we discovered a giant school of tiny juvenile fish. That is so beautiful. We watched the young growth day by day but filmed only once when the fish became larger. You need snorkel and mask for snorkeling. But if you additionally have fins and a diving weight belt, you can freedive. It is a great pleasure to watch the fish and never catch them. Let them live, they deserve it!

i understand. its next left pier. boca raton. litle be north. correct? Have fishermen tried to catch you with a fishing rod?) You can get hurt if you swim under an active pier. The next pier to the south is broken - Lauderdale-By-the-Sea, its 4229 N Ocean Dr, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, FL 33308, there are no fishermen there and there are also a lot of fish, but the corals are not as beautiful. Were you on vacation or do you live here?

@@minkikim2513 Diving flag is required for diving beyond buoys. There are a lot of boats. However, if you planning to dive under Angler's pier nobody cares...

Awesome experience. Too bad the fishermen have a strong hold on the pier. I’m hoping the rules change some day!

Fisherman's no longer have a hold of the pier. That one hurricane/storm in November of 2022 destroyed portion of the bridge. No one is allowed on it until they remodel.

Please stay away from the pier when enjoying our warm Florida waters . What you’re doing is illegal.And please don’t encourage others to break the law either. Plus, the fish stop biting when your present under or near the pier. Remember to stay outside casting distance. 300 ft. Thankyou. From an Anglins Pier lifelong patron for 45 years.

Well said. And divers buoy flag must be minimum 12’x12”. Lots of boats and jet skis. Half of them won’t even know what that flag means.
