Great reaction, my friend 🙂 I was one of those who told you that you had never heard Angelina this way, where you replied "You certainly know how to pique a guy's interest lol. I might have to make Bad Valentine my next AJ reaction." - What I meant by not having heard her this way relates BOTH to her vocals AND her attitude in the song/lyrics/performance. In-Your-Face vocals like never before, belting out the chorus like crazy, and with an attitude that we have never seen or heard before. VERY refreshing for a guy like myself, who have been following her since she was 7. It's as if I can feel a new Angelina emerging. ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with the old Angelina of course, but if she wants to make it BIG, she needs more songs like this one I think. She still needs that ONE song that will make her go viral on social media, and when that happens, there will be no stopping the train. A clip has recently been released, where she sings Back To Black, being accompanied on piano by Aurélien Froissart, a guy with 2,4 million subscribers. He was playing at a metro station, and Angelina steps up to him and asks if he knows the song. HE starts playing and SHE starts singing. I heard rumors that the clip had more than 1 million views within the first 24 hours, and now, 2 days in, I have no clue about the number. BUT there are more than 4500 comments on it so far, and all I have seen is pure praise. THAT is the kind of exposure she needs now. But, like I said, ONE "hit" and it's a one and done. Personally, I believe that if they just add some harmonizing vocals and maybe some more strings to this song, it could easily be the one. It feels like it has almost all the elements there already, just need a few more tiny things to just help set it off. Kinda like when you make a near perfect meal, but then you just add a small sprinkle of the right seasoning to finish the deal.

I am a norwegian man and has been following her from the very beginning. Even thow she nearly can sing what ever, she is moustly a jazz- and soulsinger. She began with jazz, witch she was introdust to bye her grandmother in the very early years. Her ranges and her ability to deliver the lyrics are remarkebel, with all the moods of filings. When you can sing the songs like Whitney Hustons "I'm loving you" that good, then you are a fantastic singer!

Your point on this song being a flip to "I'm a Fool to Want You" is actually the perfect perspective! That's pretty much how I took it, with her basically trying to spare the guy of inevitable heartbreak. As for the mic issues, that's an issue that's proving to be harder to balance than I anticipate lol. One of the copyright rules in regards to doing reactions is to basically transform the original video in some sort of way so while I try my best to have the video be at a decent volume, I have to try to make sure that my mic is still louder as a way to show I'm the main focus of the video. It's an annoying task because I've seen other reactors seem to get away with doing less than I do and yet not have any issues. Hopefully one day I'll be able to find the perfect medium, but it's quite a process lol

Toby wrote this song for her with her for her vocal capability. After learning the process how Toby wrote If I Were a Boy. I am convinced he questioned her about her lyrics from NOW IM THE FOOL, and hes got her to imagine ghe song from the other persons point of view because eho she is singing to is her from the other persons point of view to Now Im The Fool. If Im right hes taught her a great song writing lesson. She is not the victim in this and as such the song is so strong.

Jordan is Not cold blooded. She starts off singing “I stood you up on Valentines” in a strong, masculine sounding voice, tricking the audience into believing she’s the bad valentine. But then she sings the lyric “I thought I told you I would mess up girl, I warned you right from the start and you are a FOOL to try”, a direct link to her song about unrequited love Now I’m the FOOL, which she sings in a hurt feminine voice. The captions you’re reading are wrong and totally changed the meaning of the song. You can enlarge the video in her close up, read her lips and see she is singing “I thought I told you I would mess up girl”, clearly being said by the guy who rejected her in Now I’m the Fool. I believe these are Jordan’s lyrics while Toby probably helped with the melody and did the musical arrangement

I don't normally argue people's views on a song...but this may be an exception. There was nothing fake about the guy. He may not have been smart enough to take a hint, but nothing in the song hinted he was fake. I will use an earlier comment made to me and bring up an earlier song Angelina sang. Basically, just take the song "I'm a Fool to Want You." In that song Angelina was the "fool," but in this one the roles are simply reversed and the guy is the "fool."

I haven't heard Diamond yet, so I'll take your word for it for now. Personally, to me, I get a far different vibe from this song than I do from what I have heard from "Old Enough." Honestly, I get a different vibe from this than anything I've heard from her. Someone mentioned how they felt this song was almost a flip of "I'm a Fool to Want You," where in that one she was the fool, but in this song the roles are reversed, and I think that's actually a pretty interesting view on it. Granted, that's my take and feel on it, and I personally don't think that anyone's take or feel of the song is wrong cuz I'm a hard believer that you could play a song for 10 people and it's possible to get 10 different take aways.

It shows just how talented she is that she can still do a song so well that doesn't match her at all. Not necessarily a duet, but at the very least add some harmonizing background vocals. Maybe it's me, but I'm a sucker for great harmonies and I think that would be an amazing added touch to the song. I think the song is great as is, but if they added harmonies and maybe a few more strings, it would be darn near perfect...but I wish to stress that is just me and my feelings.
