did you saw something wrong whne record 4k in 25fps with uhs-I cards? i record in 4k 1/50 25fps and have laggy videos, somebody told me - this is wrong card i use (sandisc extreme pro UHS 1 170MB/s) - so can i change to something else with UHS-II speed?

You can record 4k with a UHS-I card. The Sony a7III supports a maximum of 100Mbps 4k video which is around 12.5 MB/s. Therefore you don’t require the fastest memory cards for 4k video recording. Any memory cards that are rated v30, v60, v90 card will work perfectly for shooting 4k video. Cards that are 32GB and smaller are labelled as SDHC memory cards. These are formatted to 32-bit and video files will be broken-up into 4GB chunks. This means extra work in post to put all of these files together. Cards that are 64GB and larger in capacity are labelled as SDXC cards, these are formatted with a 64-bit file system and your files will not be broken up into smaller chunks. For video I’d recommend 64GB or larger SDXC cards like the SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC Memory Cards.

So if I'm using the CHS-II card in the slot one, to gain any benefit, I can't use and Simult or Sort option on the camera? because that will drag me down to CHS-I speed? Then the best way to use CHS-II card for this camera is to just shooting RAW with single CHS-II card?

What do you recommend if I want to shoot compressed raw in both sd cards? Is it worth to use uhs ii cards or I will get best results with sandisk extreme pro uhs I? I don't mind about copying files to the computer, just what's get me more pictures and clears buffer faster. Thanks!

If you want to shoot compressed raw simultaneously to both slots then you will always be limited by the speed of the card in slot 2. So going with a UHS-I card like the Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS-I for both slots makes sense.

What kind of setup for memory cards would you recommend for the new Sony A7 IV at first glance?

It's going to depend on what you are shooting? If you want the buffer to clear the fastest then you'll probably want a CFexpress Type-A Card in Slot 1. If you want to shoot to two cards for backup then I expect the slower UHS-II slot will slow things down if you are using a CFexpress Type A in slot 1, then you may as well just use UHS-II cards in both slots. Although I can't really confirm this is the case since I've not yet tested any cards in the a7 IV, but will do once it lands in my hands, I have one on pre-order :)

For shooting in XAVC HS 4K a V30 or higher card is required, for XAVC S-I 4K a V90 or higher card is required. UHS-I cards only support up to V30, you'll need a UHS-II card for V60 or V90. The ProGrade V90 UHS II will be more than fast enough for 4K video, you only really need a V30 card. But a V90 card will future proof you and you'll also be able to copy the files over to your computer much faster.

It looks like the SF-M cards are out of stock at B&H Photo so they default to the Tough version instead. Same was happening with Amazon but I've updated that link to point to the SF-M card again. The size you need will depend on what you are shooting? For video you'll probably want 128GB or higher. For stills 64GB will probably be enough unless you shoot sports and lots of continuous bursts, then you might prefer 128GB.
