One of the best blends of Sopranos scenes ever.
The blend of music, cinematics, directing, and of course acting makes this scene one to remember. It also showcases the thrill and reasons that these guys do the things they do.
The last thing Tony and Christopher need is wine - but they steal it anyways, just so they know they can.
Great Track : Free - All Right Now

Awhile ago, I was going through a checkpoint in Baghdad and the MP said, 'I'm with DOD'. I said, "ooh, who's that, your girl scout troop?" They put a bag over my head with ether on it and then I woke up naked in a tiny box in some unknown bunker. They took me out after a day without food or water and waterboarded me. Fun stuff.

The mob outfits have influence, can reach places where no street gang can. That's why not many fuck with the mafia. Not just italian outfits, mobs in general. Yeah the bikers sometimes think having 10.000 members on the street gives them enough power to kill an associate / made guy. After their house explodes, they understand what's what.

Something like this happened here in California. Except it was the bikers that tried to rob the mafia. A biker gang stumbled in on some Mexican mafia soldiers counting money and in possession of drugs. The bikers then robbed them. The Mexican Mafia gave the biker gang an ultimatum. "Pay us, or else!" The bikers said no and they started getting shot at everywhere they went and even started removing their colors(AKA their biker vests) out of fear.
@Itzsfo0
@Itzsfo0 8 жыл бұрын
+James Banner yea the mexican mobs/mexican mafia - MS13, and organized drug catels scare me more then the 5 families in new york and all the biker gangs in the world including the big ones like hells angels and pagans - and mongrels - sorry those colombian drug catels of the 70s/80s and their ruthless massacres of anyone/anything with a pulse (no remorse whatsoever) and those drug-street gangs with young kids with no sense of conscience are far worse (in comparing criminal elements that is) I think it goes (most would agree) when it comes to criminal elements (the level of danger/notoriety associated) it would go something like (present day mind you) Mexican/Colombian Drug Cartels > Russian Mobsters > Domesticated Street Gangs (Bloods/Crips/MS13/so fowarth) > Organized Mobsters (Italian/Irish/Yakuza) and > Biker gangs (all are dangerous and are 1%'ers living by their own rules/fucked up idea of guidelines/laws) "code of ethics" among gangsters lol - alot of fake ones, and wanna-be's playing the role - but then the real ones - especially the more ruthless of them are quite scarey and the type that a greenlight/order is el salvadore is made, and 2 people are murdered in less then 24 hours in some prison in california lol - 89 stab wounds total overkill - streets of juarez in mexico (and the infamous drug cartels that go back multi-generations like the Sinaloa) are quite large, and nationwide/worldwide and generate BILLIONS (quite literally thats the exact number 7-9 billion per year in meth-amphetamine production/multi-country distribution, cocaine/raw heroin and mass level marijuana (tons) per year - were not talking a 5- crew (45 man family) in new jersey rolling olive oil off the docks and stealing high end custom made italian suites and shaking down local business's - granted they are murderers and thieves too and make $$$ - but nothing (and its well known even in real life/outside of film/television) the drug cartels are some of the most ruthless (and in terms of #'s of soldiers/hit squads/profits generated) the worse and the biggest especially in todays society ..i mean pablo escobar was a billionaire, griselda blanco through the mid to late 70s, to mid to late 80s - during the "cocaine cowboy" days of miami, FL (as one commentator said) "it was a war that put the hatfield and the mccoys to shame...not even the warring 1920s chicago compared" that literally means the mobsters of old - and feather in hat gangsters in fine suites were "nice" compared to these modern day monsters where their crimes (some of them) had no sense whatsoever - multiple victims, bodies like swiss cheese, filmed executions (like alot of these terrorist organization/extremeist overseas in the middle east) religious fanatics, mass executions, its hard to say which is worse - but alot of what is in the world make the sopranos seem rather average/almost acceptable (I love the comments about how these guys are murderous monsters) they ARE dont get me wrong I'm not downgrading them...but lol there are far worse elements out there - something like 100,000 people have died in mexico IN JUST the last 8 years (not even a decade) thats like an all-out war (the government over there is so infiltrated who is to say who is good and who is bad cant even trust the cops, local communities are under siege and any outsiders are not even given a word (of help or advice) not a good time to travel esp in that region - even across the mexico/cali border the violence is threatening to spill over their law enforcement over there (the uncorrupted ones that is what few are left) are rolling in tanks not squad cars lol - a murder every few mins, bodies w/ no heads found on the street and locals just keep walking like its "average" daily stuff we've all heard the stories of americans and other travelers coming to mexico just to disappear and stories surround their disappearance that the local cops/mexicalis would turn over the traveling american college students to the mexican drug cartels as "payment" or "respect" almost like a barganing token - then they are sacrificed - pretty horrifying - there is fields/open desert areas where there are more graves/grave sites - then homes in the city more dead then alive that is - wanted posters make santa monitca california look like a joke (remember the movie: late 80s The lost boys the vampire movie) in the beginning when the family moves to santa carla (next to santa monica) the talk about all the missing people that wasnt fake nor is films like "Traffic" about the drug trade or more recent movies (though its hollywood) films like No Country For Old Men and "Savages" maybe a bit hyped up - but alot of what is going on or talked about is true - and in the 80s during the cocaine epidemic especially in florida - the miami vice days/ scarface days - Griselda Blanco the black widow, la madrina (god mother) of the cocaine trade, had DOZENS of hitman on her squad, and had an actual hit list (multi page hit list) with amounts next to each name (the bigger the amount the more she obviously wanted that target dead) something like assumed responsibility for 200+ murders in a 5 year period - in florida, california, new york and back in her home of medellin, colombia (where assassins on motor bikes and even politicians being gunned down was daily routine business) same with cuba, el salvador (drug gangs) mexico with its assassins MS13 (prison gangs) quoted by many officials as "some of the most dangerous people known to man" a quote about colombia once said "they having a saying in colombia that goes back generations, the country is so beautiful/ with its foothills and serene vistas b/c the trade off is its people are so inherently violent" shirtless machete wielding wackos - chewing on coca leaves lol (raw cocaine before its processed) and mexico (in modern day) is just as bad if not worse (like each generation outdoes the other) during the 80s cocaine cowboy days when a hit was done everyone "nearby" the target (even innocent civilians) were killed "wipe them all out, all of them just do them all get it over with clean and quick" i guess its easier to kill 6 (4 innocents, 2 intended targets) then just taking the 2 out seperately - thats how the drug cartels work if taking a plane of innocent civilians out just to kill 3 intended targets is easier, then they do it - in a few cases (more then 1) la madrina/Griselda Blanco - had hits done (where the intended target was a colombian man or wife and their child was struck at a red light at a busy intersection gunmen get out - 'walk' not run to the targets car, open fire with fully automatic (that was the weapon of choice, mac11's, mac10s, tec-9s) cheap guns that easily jammed but also were notorious for the rapid succession of bullets, and spraying a place, like 20 rounds in 3 seconds and if you got 3 gunmen all spraying at the same time (calm as can be) mid-day intersection at a place like Dade county, florida - police station down the street, (bayonetting people at the airport) drivebys at a soccer field (shit that sounds like it comes out of a freaking movie) WAS all real - child was struck 9 times 9mm rounds from the fully auto hand guns - and when the hitman reported back to griselda that the "child got in the way" she would laugh - "ooh you got the little mohito ? aww good job got rid of them all - lets go eat - got some fried fish up on the cooker" - she enjoyed having her intended victims 1) tortured (mentally first, then physically for hours, blow torch the whole 9 yards) ice picks, etc - then murdered - then chopped up and dumped on the side of the road (on her way to a restraunt or what have you) and in a box with alittle bow ontop - she did that numerous times - im talking flat out evil people a nd the fact that its all real and NOT a HBO drama series make it that much worse hell (my home town of baltimore, maryland) with the heroin epidemic (that goes back multiple decades) and the ruthless young street gangs, and the murder rate being #4th in the country (with the great HBO drama The Wire which I think many would agree is equal if nto far more realistic then the sopranos )as much as I love the sopranos (and Oz, etc) I like The COrner (2000 hbo mini series) and the wire (2002-2008) 5 season/60 episodes drama - far more (realistic, especially with its deep sociopolitical themes, exploration of modern day inner city society, war torn drug-riddled streets) the lingo of the streets, and the real-life figures used in the show - all give it a level of realism that feels almost "documentary" to it more then a tv show - the sopranos for all its depth still had alot of hollywood (big sounding punches in fight scenes, like something from a 70s western) pew pew pew - and somewhat unrealistic murder scenes, again its a modern classic and a great show - but The Wire blows it away in several departments, especially some of the murders (there ISNT as many murders on screen as in the sopranos) but thats the point it has a more realistic feel (each murder hits even harder) and has a slightly terrifying feel to it - cause it feels like its more realistic...and that gives it more depth - both are great shows exploiting a certain type of underworld society but...as they are the same they are different - but there are alot of documentaries, crime shows, etc - that show some scarey real life crime figures/organizations and as I've gotten older I realize the classic italian mobsters (while more films have been made about them probably as awhole by #'s) I'd say they ARENT the scariest, some of what I've listed above ^ is far worse lol

Do you realize how stupid this was of them? Soprano I'd a multimillionaire and he was almost killed for stealing a few cases of cheap wine. These two are doing this for the adrenaline rush, and a lot of what they do is chasing that high instead of something logical like cash. These guys are nuts.

The scene of the crime had evidence of a burglary & shots fired. The way you don't get implicated is not to be there when the cops show up. Dah! Hope you guys are not criminals, don't give up your day jobs. BTW the cops are not interested in some lowlife bikers but I think they do want the head of the NJ Crime Family
