If it’s 15% loss than the wheel hp is 638
@coreyfryer27124 жыл бұрын
@@jkleinhu4406 really tho that 15% rule is just a blanket rule and is typically not that accurate. Racecar parts/pieces=slightly less drivetrain loss. It's also N/A and A hybrid. There's no telling what the car actually does or doesnt make.
@Weekend_Garage4 жыл бұрын
Jonas is pointing out that what they calculated as crank power is actually a 13.3% drivetrain loss. I don't think anyone is questioning the ballpark of 15% that everyone uses, but that their math was not correct if they are assuming 15% loss. That's why it's best to just speak in WHP instead of theorizing how much drivetrain loss you have. Unless you have put your motor on an engine dynamometer, then you will know the exact drivetrain loss.

@reviewcrewforyou4 жыл бұрын
You don't need a big battery pack though. Whenever they brake it is sending power back to the battery. So while it can use that battery pretty quickly it also regains it pretty quickly as well. The KERS is usually used on a straight at full power so the rest of the course it's not really using a lot of the battery power.
