Went down to Charlotte north Carolina for some fried chicken. Been wanting to go to Price's for years and I always LOVE Bojangles. Let me know which one you like better.

Wanda, a college buddy of mine grew up in the South. His mom made home fried chicken and it was the best food I've ever tasted. Being from California, I can't imagine how awesome you Southerners have it food wise. I'm gonna have to take a food field trip!

Grew up with both. Bojangle's original location on West Blvd was an old gas station. They were known for biscuits before the chicken caught on. Huge sausage biscuits the size of hamburgers. And HOT!! Light you right up. Price's is much tamer. You gotta bring your own Texas Pete, salt and pepper, pepper sauce cause it needs help. The liver and gizzards are stellar. Wash all that down with - only three true Charlotte choices - Cheerwine, Sundrop, Sweet Tea. Well Pepsi has got to be in there. Great vlog Mister!!

By the way, the THING to get at Bojangles is their "3 Piece Dinner Meal" which comes with 2 thighs and 1 leg plus a biscuit and up to 2 sides. When it's good quality fried chicken, I like legs almost as much as thighs.

KFC is overhyped and its staffs are lazy, they fried chicken pieces in huge batch then they sell them for the whole day! Often I ordered from KFC I get lukewarm chicken pieces. Such is the pathetic standard KFC has deteriorated to today! I already boycotted KFC and only eat fried chicken from hawker centres in Singapore.

Michigan Mister people always talking up White Castle and I remember years ago I bought a pack of their frozen burgers and it tasted horrible. Recently (2015) I went to the White Castle at the Casino Royale here in Las Vegas. Much to my surprise their burgers tasted just like the frozen ones, like crap. Meat was pale and tasted like mutated turkey. Good thing their chicken rings and onion chips were ok. I had a hard time finishing the burgers though. Honestly rather have McDonalds and their burgers are disgusting as hell.

I live in Florida where we only have KFC, Churches and Popeyes. I took a trip to Michigan once and had a stop in Charlotte. The airport had a Bojangles inside and I had to stop and eat there because the smell was so good. So when will you be in Charlotte again? Whenever you do, don't forget to bring hot oil with you. By the way, if you walk down a few blocks from the prices chicken coupe you will be able to sit on the platform benches of the Light Rail System. But glad that you like Bojangles. Next time ask them for honey mustered and hot sauce for your fried chicken. It taste way better that way. Oh yes, the biscuits does have a lot of shortening in it. It is 3 lbs of flower per 1 lb of shortening and when they are done baking than they coat it with a heavy layer of butter. Well happy eating and safe travel.

I love Bojangles, I used to eat spicy cajun chickens and seasoned fries there while living in Hickory, North Carolina back in the days. I left North Carolina and moved back to California in 2007. It's too bad and sad, because California doesn't have Bojangles. Popeyes is the choice. I came back home to visit my family (brothers & sisters) in 2010. My youngest sister and I went back to Bojangles again. I miss eating those delicious spicy cajun chickens and seasoned fries. Before I fly back home to California in March 2011. I ordered two more boxes of spicy cajun chickens before boarding the flight at Charlotte McDouglas airport. I love eating those while boarding and flying in the sky.
