I have a new Tatula 3000 , excellent excellent reel! Been eying the Vanford in 1000 size for Crappie fishing.

Both the Vanford and Tatula are great reels! Hard to go wrong either way.

I don’t think it’s sealed like some saltwater reels so I don’t know think it’s ideal.

4000 is the best all around reel,better drag than a 2500 or 3000 .
