Shouldn't the two shocks in rakos aggro be burst lightning because it's strictly better? (not that I've ever paid the kicker, those games don't last long)

Technically yes, but probably would be kicked so few times playing it wouldn't matter.

Yeah they could definitely be burst lightning for the one random game where you hit 5 mana haha

Thanks for the vid, very informative. 🙂 I'm stuck in platinum 3-4 for weeks now. I tried red aggro, rakdos aggro, boros auras and black midrange (all from untapped tier list) without breaking through. What do you think is best right now at this stage of ladder please?

Mono-Red should do the trick in Plat. Can you send me your tracker data? You might need to try a different mulligan strategy or sequencing.

try to build something that fairs well against all the different strategies sometimes the best answer isnt the meta itself....like adding things that other ppl arent playing.... but along with what astrall said it also comes down to how wizards is matching you....i wish theyd do away with how they pair players and make it literally random bc that would be closer to IRL.... for instance a few sets back i was playing domain and i was having a hard time against mono red aggro and i found that when i brough in parasitic grasp mono red decks no longer go qued against me as often.....

Same. Was always a favorite card when I started , back in Ravnica, making all those 1/1 spiders

It was definitely a powerful force in draft/limited. But cards like Sunfall make it look sub-par
