For anyone who doesn't want to be a filthy red player but also wants a budget entry into Pioneer, I've been jamming Mono-White Auras lately to much success. Sram and Skrelv are the only rares, then the Heroic 1-drop and Eerie 1-drop let you round out your creatures. Sheltered by Ghosts and Ossification give you aura-based removal, Ethereal Armor and All that Glitters are your finishers, Shardmages Rescue for protection, Gryf's Boon for Flying, and Sentinel's Eyes or whatever random aura you want to finish the deck

As someone fairly new to Arena, Leyline decks have been a great gateway for me to be able to be at least somewhat competitive while on a budget. The number of rares for so many other decks are often prohibitive for me.

So I started playing Magic on arena and moved to explorer shortly after starting. I enjoy it much more than I enjoyed standard, but establishing my dual lands was a brutal task. If WoTC made a reasonably priced package with all the shock lands in it, entering would be much less of a hurdle, The dual lands are crucial to having non mono colored decks because the format is much faster than standard. There are several other rares which are core to the format you need to get beyond the lands too. Kind of an aside, but you can run standard decks to limited success in pioneer. They won't win as often as a real pioneer deck, but if you sub out cards for stronger equivalents in the format (like cut down for fatal push) that alone is enough to get started. Wouldn't take it on the ladder or anything though.
