Luke inherited most of his personality from Padme: his sense of duty, not showing his emotions unless pressed, his sense of honor, pacifist qualities, and a tendency to brood or even be depressed or sad at times. However, he also has some of Anakin’s traits such as his sense of adventure, reckless nature, and a fierce loyalty and attachment to the people he loves. Leia inherited most of her personality from Anakin: her righteous anger, her fixation on what is just, wearing her emotions on her sleeve, letting her opinions known even if it may cause disagreements or arguments, and a fierce loyalty to the people she loves. However, she also has some of Padme’s traits such as her sense of duty, self-sacrificing nature, and being heavily into the political scene of galactic affairs.

This for sure. It's why it's so disappointing we'll never get to see George's continuation with these characters.

I love how the trait that saves Luke and earns victory in the end is precisely the one that was there since the beginning, the one he didn’t need any training to develop: his idealized but pure love for his father. This isn’t to say that training wasn’t needed, but, unlike what the Jedi of old thought, its focus must be on creating a stronger person from the foundations laid by the person’s nature, not to replace or suppress that nature entirely.

I don't think the Jedi ever taught to suppress one's nature, but to moderate oneself with respect to it. Which could be confused for suppression, I suppose. They definitely feared what darkness might come of one's nature, and thus sought to avoid anything that might bring that out(when they could help it), but the other side of that saw them more accurately look to bring one's nature in line with themselves. The key to that however, was in knowing what darkness and temptations of it exists in one's heart, rather than fearing and guarding against it, as illustrated in Qui-Gon's telling Anakin to go to the Well of the Dark Side on Mortis, as well as Yoda's having to face his dark side on the island of all that remains unconquered, and Yoda's instructing Luke to enter the Cave of Evil on Dagobah. To fight the Dark Side, you must face and admit to the things in you that feed it, and reject whatever hold they have on you on a fundamental level.

Lando is a great one, definitely want to get to him at some point. The next character on the list is Anakin so it won't be for a while but I'll get around to him for sure. And I'm glad you've been enjoying them, it's always encouraging to hear

Fun fact: Obi-Wan and Owen were originally brothers and not Anakin and Owen

This is a potentially controversial take, but, I would say Anakin is the greatest Jedi ever because he has to experience the spiritual humiliation of doing evil, but he manages to come back from it (with some help of course!).

Nah Anakin is the chosen one he lost points of greatest Jedi when turn to the dark side and the title greatest Jedi go to his son Luke.
