Hey bro love your vids and just got a Sony a6500 myself (mainly because of your videos). Just wanted to point out that the write speed is 100 megabits per second, NOT 100 megabytes. With that being said 100 megabits is equivalent to 12.5 megabytes so any UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) card will work since it writes at 30/Megabytes per second consistently. Keep up the great work!

All you need in the memory card is U3, Class 10, V30 and a MINIMUM of 30 MB(Megabytes)/s write speed. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The 100 Megabits translates to 12.5 Megabytes. Also, the maximum speeds displayed on the card are just big advertisement numbers, it's your minimum you want to look at.

You don't need a 280mb SDXC II card for 4k and high shutter speed, those are very expensive and overkill. You definitely need a 95mb at least SDXC and it needs to be U3 which are much cheaper and work a treat!

100 megabits a second equals 12.5 megabytes a second and the a6500 only writes at 34 megabytes a second so as long as your card writes at 60 or higher you can't max it out

+BigBoyTravel Not in my experience. I used an SD card that writes at 95MB/s but my camera won't allow me to record unless I change it to 60Mb/s.

Thanks so much for making this - Very helpful! I recently bought the a6500 and got it set up using your vids :) I was just wondering what tripod you would recommend for filmmaking? Would it still be the MeFOTO?

I'm so glad this was helpful! I would actually recommend the Manfrotto Befree Live Video Tripod! I'll make a review on it soon, but it's the BEST tripod I've ever used!
