Well, I recommend a mix of normal ammo and premium ammo, ie. 50 AP and 12 [Insert Premium Ammo type here], though whatever works with you best is what you may use in the future.

That whole line up to kv1 is good. T46 is great with the 75. T28 is amazing with it's crazy power to weight ratio and 57mm. Kv1 is great with any of the top guns.

The game is too long in the tooth and it's been a long time since the developer stopped caring about making the game fun and instead, focusing extracting as much cash out of the player base as possible before the game dies.

the kv1 was the first heavy I got in game , it did learn me to sidescrape etc. Also got over a 1000 games with it, almost at my 4th skill now. The fun about this tank is that all 3 guns are good , the derp is fun to play and learns to deal with a longer reload time. The 85 mm is the best gun but the smaller 57mm is not bad too , it reloads super fast and has good pen too ,the 189 apcr is quite high but no high dmg. Its a good allround tank , even tier 6 tanks does bounce on it when you angle it properly. Ive had some killer games in it. Awesome tank as long as you use it the right way or like this replay shows when you're top tier it is a bit too armoured...but just a littlw bit.

I hadnt played WoT seriously since like 2013, I came back recently and grinded out towards the O-I to get back into things. It's really fun as long as you are top tier or facing tier 7s max, because its main selling point (armour) obviously doesnt do well against tier 8s. Also it's an artillery magnet which can get super frustrating but in a game with little arty the tank is such a beast with that Derp. I also still had the T-29 which I grinded back in 2012 which is (fortunately) still a beast. Having a lot of fun although gold rounds are way more commonly used now so armour means a lot less.

The bit at 7:35 isn't aimbot. He is holding RMB to keep the gun pointing in one direction so the game shows the aiming reticle pointing at the background where the gun is pointing. It just happens that, due to the movement of the tank, the line of sight of the gun passes onto the dead St.Pz.II's hitbox, so the aiming reticle snaps to the dead SPG because that's where the round would hit.

I've always thought the same, and started both my siblings down the KV 1's line. As it is I've gotten well over 1K games in my KV1 (out of around 7.5K games), and its the first tank I got a 3 skill crew in (followed by the pre-buff Panzer III/IV) Edit: Don't forget, the KV-1 has 50 and 30mm weak spots on the rear of the tank.

its the best because its completely overpowered, why are you not admitting it QB? If even a 48% wr player can pull off a 1v5.... while losing less than 200hp the whole game.... Also the armour is complete bullshit, look at 4:44 tracked at an exposed position, no damage recieved at all despite getting shot from all angles... Historically the KV-1 was not really the best tank. Yes it had good armour for its era, its firepower was very mediocore (same at the T-34), ergonomics were a disaster, the drivers had to change gears with a hand-sledge. This tank is pure proof for Russian bias

I wanted to play this game, because I wanted to play with my friends, and I liked the fact that we were 15 tanks on the same side of the map, who was supposed to be working together, in order to take the enemy tanks down. I, got into this game, becasue of the *social* aspect of it.

While I started way back before Girls und Panzer aired, I ended up making getting all their tanks my goal. This meant the Pz.IV D and H, StuG III G, I-Go, Pz. 38t, Hetzer, Chi-Nu, M3 Lee and Tiger (P). The M3 Lee is definitely something I wanted to just get over with because I wasn't that good, but once you've treated it as a shoulder-peek TD, the DPM on its top gun is absurd. As far as Derp guns go, I feel like I enjoy playing them more by proxy of being able to do damage on almost every tank. I will admit that outside of the usual lower plate/cupola/machinegun ball/driver's hatch weakpoints, I'm less familiar with tank-per-tank weakpoints. Honestly, I didn't even know much about the Soviet tanks (except the T-34, of course) and all I wanted was the M4 and the Tiger. But, after playing enough games against the KV-1, I forgot all about the M4 and Tiger and coveted the Soviet heavies. Every one of those tanks should come with a logo that reads, "Сталин с нами" meaning "Stalin is with us." Thanks for the video, QB, and reminding me how great that tank is, especially when top tier.

I absolutely hated the M3 Lee, but surprisingly loved the Grant. Maybe because of being a beginner in the Lee, and a more experienced players in the Grant.

I think the BDRG1B is a really good starter tank because it got very good dpm and penetration. And it got good matchmaking as well. Sure it doesn’t have the best armor but that’s a good way to learn how to play safe and smart.

And the following french heavies will teach a new player how to position properly and be patient and the top tiers how to maintain situational awareness because emptying the clip at the wrong time usually means death. The KV and the russian heavies after it can leave a newb with some bad habits, like going full Rambo style in tanks that are not really meant for close brawler action.

I agree with this it was one of my first tanks i spent the most time in can learn or sorts of skills.Its still one of my most played tanks and has good stats at over 500 battles I play mostly 7-10, but I still have a blast in the KV1.

It's funny how when I started the game back in 6.whatever. I didn't go through the same thought process of choosing the tank I wanted to go down. I explored the stats of alot of the tanks and discovered the T95 and decided "whats the best tank to counter this" and at the time the Jagdtiger had the highest pen gun. So that's the tank I started to grind for

First tank I was going for was T-34 because we had one(T 34/85) in barracks that was monument that you could fill up with fuel and start. Even then I preferred T-34 over KV-1 and I never regretted going for it first. I feel sorry for all that went into game wanting Tiger...

I would highly suggest the M3 Stewart, tier 3 American light tank. It'd fast, has a punchy gun with decent rate of fire, good view range, and the armor is just good enough when angled to bounce the assholes using the auto cannons. I love chasing down auto cannon vehicles and laughing as they think they'll melt me but don't and ricochet as I pump round after round into them. It's a really good tank imo. One of my go tos when I'm having a frustrating time.

The configuration ALPIN6373 is using was historically called the KV-9. The only prototype used the same derp gun.

I learned game with T67. Have 1.2k battles, people call me stat padder but i had 600-800 wn8 then, just learning camo and spotting and some weakspots. Nice one for passive play.

I first started playing before the American tech tree was introduced. I actually didn't much care for German tanks because they all seemed so Squishy so I got up to the Panzer IV and just switched over to the Soviet Heavies and Mediums (this is when the Mediums only went up to the tier 8) and I LOVED the look of the IS and IS3. I also knew a lot about the T line of Soviet mediums, so the T-44 was the first tank I really went for. Not the Tiger :D Then the first tier ten I had was the T line of American tanks. Back when the T30 was the top of the tree. When they switched it to the E5 and m103, it was quite nice getting an E5, an M103, a T30 TD, AND my first tier eight premium all at the same time :D

Yeah...that Swedish medium driver blew it...I've killed a KV-1 at range with the Tier IV Swedish medium...and was pleasantly surprised!

Yellow view ports have less range than if they are fully fixed. I know because I was forced to repair my view port on a tier 8 scout (I have the dynamic view range circle, it changed when it was yellow and grew when it was fixed) My favourite tech tree and the one I started on is still USA. I did USA first following into the M4 line because I wanted the Easy 8 and then went on to get the T34 when it was the tier 9 heavy tank. Which meant I got it for free as a premium tank and got the M103 for free in its place. I was unable to reach T30 though when it was the tier 10 heavy tank. The T110E5 and M103 were really fun tanks though and I even loved the T32 so much I kept it and this was before all the buffs it got now. Now it is the beast it always deserved to be in the first place. Then went on to do the USA TD line which at that time became very fun with the Hellcat and T67. The speed and gun is just insane and not so different from an E25 but only better (in my opinion). Afterwards I did both German heavy lines and got Tiger & Tiger P at same time - really loved both for different reasons. Then I went on to do the Russian heavy line and to be honest while their tanks have fun moments they were definitely not my favourite tree, I actually preferred the play styles of the USA and German tanks. But that is just me, I do have the IS7 though and it has been changed a few times since I got it and the current way it is in the game is really fun to play and I finally play it again.

Good vid QB. The first 2 tanks I would recommend for new players are this tank for the reasons you’ve stated and the m4 with 76 for learning ridgeline pkay and flanking.

It's important to have some fun when you first start so whilst the kv1 is solid, I had more fun in the Matilda. I has solid armour a super gun and it taught me early on that big derp guns could be overcome by use of cover with a fast firing high pen accurate gun. It's a very slow tank but has some forgiving armour, which means that you can make some mistakes and still have fun.
