I agree, while higher interest rates increase bond yields, they also hurt long-term bondholders who can't wait for their bonds to mature. IMO You are better off for next 5 years by buying the dip now.

Here are some stocks which you can study. Not a buy sell recommendation. Private sector banks like: Hdfc, kotak, ICICI bank are being consolidating even though they are giving good results. Happiest minds is an undervalued stock right now and the company's business model looks good. Tata motors is working aggressively on E.V. business which is said to be the future. Tata power is working in the renewable sector. Our government is promoting railway infrastructure. So stocks like rvnl, irfc, ircon, IRCTC are on a good run. Automotive Software companies like KPIT tech and Tata ELXSI are also out performing. KPIT tech is highly valued right now. So you can go with Tata ELXSI which is fairly valued right now.
