Keep seeing people say how to concede to complete missions/optimize stamina, but not seeing anyone pointing out that if you get a few copies of each card, should save your blue event hourglasses for future events in case you aren't as lucky. They carry over to the next event.

u should save the "last of ur stamina" cause obviously they CAP... just do the math if u have everything you need! Saved to cap on last day and use the prior stamina for "extra" rewards*

IMPORTANT TIP if you are going to get premium pass get it just before it will update missions to get new missions too. Next reset is on 11.30 22.00 it will end in 12.31 22.00 so get it when it's about to end and make sure you finish the missions.

For those wondering approximately how many of each Promo card you'd be expected to get, if you get all 48 possible free Promo packs, you get: 6 Venusaur full arts 7-8 Greninja 34-35 of Onix, Haunter, Jigglypuff (or about 11-12 each). Due to natural variance, this can vary, but it's a good approximation of how likely you are to get the cards you want over this event.

Technically you can only get 47, as the event runs for 1 minute less than 14 days you can only generate 27 stamina with time, not 28 ;)

I've gotten 3 or 4 copies of each card now this event has treated me much better than Lapras did. I've done everything but beat expert 20x but thanks for the tips! Especially that cheeky put them to sleep and concede. It'll be useful in future events.

I think Jigglypuff might be used in a similar way to Farfetch’d and Kangaskahn. If used in a stall deck then sleep could easily grab you a few turns of setup. It’s got low health and no damage and sleep can be cured by evolving as it’s downsides As an example, one of the decks I’m running consists of 2 Melmetal, 2 Greninja, and 1 Mawile. Melmetal needs 4 energy to attack and Meltan can use Amass to add an extra energy if it’s active. Mawile has 70 HP, 20 damage, and removes an energy on a successful coin flip. Mawile makes a better tank (for better and for worse, if you’re considering sacking to build another Melmetal or Greninja) and can chip a little to prepare for Melmetal to one shot some EX Pokémon and losing that 1 energy can easily be more impactful than losing a turn to sleep but if they stay asleep even after swapping in Melmetal it’ll be devastating so there’s good and bad points on both sides. Also I noticed that none of the Promo/Event cards have rarity. Not too helpful in this event, since Lapras EX is a water type and this event is grass, but when we get a fire type battle event…

adding a Mienfoo line or two to the Blaine deck can be really nice for Kangaskhan being a 1 colorless energy 60 damage with weakness so no need to add fighting energy also Mienfoo is weak to psychic so that's not an issue

I used flareon moltres (then Any powerful fire type example charizard ex) now I auto battle it. Flareon cleaned house pretty consistently before the cpu set up.

I just did all of this with my Blaine deck, and for the sleep thing subbed in a Hypno. The deck remained 3 diamonds max, didn’t need other energy than fire and Hypno didn’t even need to leave the bench

I built the rapidash/ninetails deck and played as you were playing. Im 10 turns in, I have 7 trainers, 2 rapidashes, and 2 vulpixes in play. On top of that, my vulpix that had 3 energys attached got heads on a venasaur ex, but they retreated and 1 tapped me. This is my entire tcgp experience in a nutshell

Yep. Unless your name is Charizard-ex, if you take too long and they start swinging with Venu-ex, good luck coming back from that. The best decks in my experience are Blaine Aggro and Pika-ex, as those can score 3 points on support mons before Venu hits the field. Sabrina is also a godsend to snipe Bulbs and Ivys.
