Frikken love inari! Mmmmm! My favorite granny elbow is, inari, rice, mirin, furikake (always wondered why you don't utilize furikake that I've seen. Probably my favorite seasoning from Japan) smoked fish, and roe. Finish with a little splash of aloha shoyu. Frikken DELICIOUS

That first fish was cool to watch you hook so quickly. I'm glad I watched the video before commenting! Being born and raised in SW Washington I've known a surprising amount of people who are misinformed that eat raw salmon and steelhead from the rivers. I wouldn't eat cooked sturgeon either unless I was confident the fish had just left ocean waters.

It’s amazing to see Taku mix American fishing team techniques i.e. fly fishing rivers, spin fishing rivers, and all that. On top of that use Japanese techniques to cook/eat American fish is sooo cool. Big fan.

I have a very distinct memory of the first fish I ever enjoyed when I was a kid. It was a fresh caught rainbow trout cooked in a foil pouch with just salt, butter and lemon. I still think about how good that was from time to time.

When he's not hunting deer, he's fishing in smaller streams, making rice on his Firebox and preparing sashimi from his catch by the riverside. Definately a man of his generation in Japan. Hey Man, You don't need trees. Just two poles approx. the same height as the van, maybe a little shorter. Place the poles on the corners of your tarp and ropes from there down to the ground. You'll also need a couple of stakes or rocks etc. to anchor the tie down ropes to the ground. Works great at the beach. Just make sure your tie down anchors are stout enough to counteract any wind that might arise. Great channel Man!!! Thank you!
