@@StevenDaniels81 That's practically the best team new pokemon only. It hits the mark with no types being used twice and also being somewhat early to get. The only option you can opt in is Braviary with Psychic/Flying but thats late game. Good selection choice!

Decidueye really needs Bulk Up to shine in this game, Roost is also a viable option if you don't really need coverage. Leaf Blade kills pretty much everything after a Triple Arrows anyway

So based off the 3 videos, I had the best team with Samurott for the main game but now for post game my team consists of Samurott, Decidueye, Typhlsion, Gardevoir, Goodra and Rhyperior. I did that since post game you're given the opportunity to use the other starters and have to complete their pokedex entries as well.

I like using Thunderbolt on Hisuian Goodra. It works as an honorary Electric type. But unlike Electric types, Goodra resists Water. So it can take down Water types and take hits from them.

I think a really important member in every team in this game is a good catcher pokemon with status moves and maybe false swipe(good fot pokemon which doesn’t have recoil moves). Parasect and Gallade are good examples .

I just beat Volo and Girantina really easily with this team along with Decidueye and it is; Driftblim, Golem (my first random shiny found literally the second day of playing) Gardevoir, Goodra, and Weavile! My last 3 Pokemon, including some max revives carried me, but I saved my game beforehand, and I reset it after beating Volo because I want to have my team in the 90s. Right now they range from level 82-88. I love your content Mystic Umbreon! Keep making these awesome videos!

When I ran with Hisuian Decidueye, I ran Shadow Claw and Spikes instead of Brave Bird and Psycho Cut. Shadow Claw is great coverage against Psychic types and can be used in tandem with Triple Arrows much like Leaf Blade. Spikes, being a damaging move in this game, can also be used as coverage for Fire types, and having chip damage every turn the opponent goes is always nice.

Decidueye, Hisuian Goodra, Drapion, Whiscash, Gardevoir, and Hisuian Arcanine is my current team for PLA, resists each type and still some good coverage options. Sure, I can understand gebgar, rhyperior, and ursaluna for their stats, and I'll likely keep them in mind on my bench.

Gardevoir also has the option for Aura Sphere in this game over Mystical Fire if you trade power for Special Attack decrease since Steel & Rock could get annoyed targetting their weaker Special Defense stat.

Great videos as of late Mystic you are doing a very good job. Tbh though I think Decidueye in this game is the worst of the 3 starters because it just doesn't have the coverage needed to work around most of it's weaknesses. This isn't a huge problem though since you can just switch out pokemon during battle but I really wish it got the coverage moves it needs in order to show it's power as a starter pokemon and to cover most or all of it's weaknesses overall. Also it's design is not bad but I feel like the original is better. Keep up the amazing work you do!!

Also, unlike the other two Starters, Decidueye is outclassed by another Hisuian form that has the same typing, being Lilligant. She's faster and learns more useful moves, like Sleep Powder, an op signature move in Victory Dance and actually learns Close Combat.

I like this team! The only thing I would perhaps say is that I'm not sure why the need for Dark Pulse on Gengar? Since that would hit the same types as STAB Shadow Ball super effectively (the one exception being Hisuian Zoroark is all I can think of. I'd give it Thunderbolt and put Ice Punch on Ursaluna instead of Thunder Punch. With moves being so easily swappable though I suppose it doesn't matter too much.

I was wondering what moveset you were going to go with. Almost exactly what I had on mine except I use aerial ace, you know, because I don’t like hurting myself in a game where even Pokémon half your level can still do a decent amount of damage. Even with each stat at level 10.

Also, if there are those of you who don't want to use Ursaluna whether it be due to doubling up on Ground types or because of the annoying evolution method, there is always the choice of running Snorlax, whether you get it as an Alpha Pokemon or you're lucky enough to acquire a Munchlax.

btw Gardevoir also outclasses Alakazam because it gets the Fairy type, which negates its Bug and Dark weaknesses. Granted it gets weaknesses to Poison and Steel, but STAB Psychic moves and Level up Aura Sphere maked up for that

for ursaluna i did use giga impact and headlong rush but i used fire punch for the ice types and play rough for the fighting types

I really think that gengar moveset should be : hex, veno shock, hypnosis, drainpunch I think this move set will do gengar some good Like hex and veno shocks damage will double if the target has a status condition which makes hypnosis handy to make the opponent sleepy so the opponent can't attack I think that hypnosis can make gengar to not die easily because the opponent can't use moves when their sleepy and it also makes gengar hex and veno shock combo more deadly as it doubles in damage And now drain punch is used to help you in a pinch when you are low or want to finish the enemy but also get some healing So this build offers offence, sustainability, and a little bit of support if used right

Honestly, my team may not be the best, but I was able to get past the tough fights, because I was working on my Pokédex along the way. Team: Hisuian Deceideye, Luxray, Floatzel, Staraptor, Sylveon, & Shiny Rapidash. Luxray with Ice Fang helped against Hisuian Electrode because it may use Thunder Wave but Electric Types can’t be paralyzed. Dartrix helped against Hisuian Lilligant. Floatzel helped against Klevor, Hisuian Arcanine, & Hisuian Avalggg. The others were backup just in case.

I have kadabra and drifblim and gastky i have so many of the same type moves etc. ghost, poison, i changed kadabra with the 3 punches and physco cut, dont need pushich type on decideye lol

I must admit, though powerful, Rhyperior's typing is just not good for me. Along with the 2 4x weaknesses, you also have fighting, steel and ground weaknesses. I would probably use Kleavor myself instead as you won't have the ground overlap then (certainly did well in my run)

With Decidueye I went with Gardevoir and Goodra like you, but kept Crobat on the team and brought in Basculegion to cover the water/ghost typings. My sixth slot was hard to lock down being filled by both Flareon and Garchomp at times.
