Been playing for 30 years and a metal/rock head at heart since the beginning. Only now in 2020 I finally got myself a tele, a NashT63, and it's the best guitar I ever played. The sound is just beyond words. Can't believe it took me 30 years to discover the telecaster guitar

The neck pickup on that guitar is amazing! Often people neglect that position on teles since the bridge has such a distinct sound. But you got amazing sounds out of it.

Thanks for this video! I have to confess that I'm not crazy about how the tele looks, and it was the looks that kept me indecisive with the tele for a while. BUT, it was the TONE of the tele and the variety of tones that could be coaxed out of it that kept bringing me back and finally convinced me to get one. Love your playing and the tones you bring out of your tele, as well as explaining all the cool features behind you tele!

Kris, you say it's not you or any kind of magic but the truth is... it is you as much as the guitar; the formula is you + your guitar = magic. It's not the just guitar specs. The more stories you write with your guitar, the more you rock it, the more battle scars on both you and the guitar the more magic happens... Don't ever get rid of it and keep doing what you're doing. Love your videos!

I remember back between the years 2004 through 2009. My first electric guitar was a Fernandes Nomad Deluxe. A lot of my friends kept getting on my ass to get rid of it and get a real guitar. So I went to a music store and started looking around.Spend 3 hours in the store looking for what would be the right guitar for me. I found this Squier Thin Line Telecaster for $350.00. Played it for over an hour. Loved this sound and bought it. 11 years later, it's still an awsome guitar. Soon after I bought the Tele, the Nomad went back to California where it belongs.

Hi Kris - I am proud to support your channel. Don't let the other people that make strange/weird comments deter you. (Saw that under your Q&A people) I wanted to share with you something I thought you would like; I know have two Fender Telecasters. The first one I bought in 2020 - it is the Mod Shop (not custom shop) that you can order different colors -It is in mystic seafoam green. The latest one I bought for my birthday - It is the Performer Series, now limited colors I bought the Classic White Telecaster (looks like a hint of yellow to me) I love them and also, they have the three-barrel bridge - it is really nice. I do have other guitars Gibson's, Yamaha, etc. but I liked the Telecaster so much I thought it was time for another birthday present - although GAS can be bad for musicians - LOL but we love them. Thanks again Kris.

I think you deserve that guitar and a tons of others because your playing is absolutely great. That Telecaster sounds awesome and I like the name of the owner on the metal plate. I just don't understand how come people like relic guitars. Horrible, honestly, because it's the owner that should relic the guitar using it. I have lots of guitars but I'm in love with my Music Man Sabre bass because I've played perhaps two hundred gigs with it. Now it's more (natural) relic than (an artificial) heavy relic and I remember where and when it got every sort of scratch: some are incredible and make me laugh (otherwise I should cry) because sometimes happen very, very strange things playing live music and taking the instrument around. It has a story now. And when I see an instrument with many scratches I ask because I'm curious: hey, tell me why it's so beaten up? The answer: ah, no, it's a just relic finish... So disappointing.

@Kev Musicluva. I have never been a fan of relics but there is one true thing about them ~ Because they are Custom Shop made, they are some of the very best instruments Fender builds. I have guitars with thousands of live gigs on them and they look it, too. But as many say, those are all part of my story and those guitars’ journeys. I prefer that and most likely would not buy a relic’d guitar, especially new. But to each his own. It’s the yin and yang, always.

If or rather when I move back to adidas HQ Kris, I now know I simply have to bring my latest guitar in for you to play. My Dale Wilson Master Build 60’s Tele with slab board, large C neck, Josefina ‘63 PuP’s. 3 TSB Journeyman finish. I initially got it to see what the fuss about Dale Wilson was all about, knowing I could return it if it was ‘just’ another good guitar... But damn I had to pinch myself and get it independently checked with some serious local US guitar players, and they said well that’s just one of the best Tele’s we’ve ever played. Feels great to come across these gems doesn’t it. To top it off I got lucky with the amount of competition for guitar sales in the US. Not much more than the regular CS pricing. It’s a guitarists paradise over here with the flexibility both in terms of trying/returning and negotiating final purchase price. Plus I currently live in Oregon where there’s no sales tax. Happy days😊 Stay well and keep up the great content. Prost! 🍻

Funny how I've built a smilirar-ish guitar but on a budget. Also Nocaster pickups, a cheap 1kg paulownia body (yes, a slight nosedive), a Squier paranormal C-shaped (not modern) neck w/ narrow-tall frets, and I just love and cherish it beyond words. I also used nitro lacquer but the paulownia body is so fragile it relics even without nitro hehe. I love the video and feel like a tele buddy now.

Would love this to become a series. Always like hearing the stories behind gear. The one I want to hear most about is about the heavily modified Les Paul CM that made a few blink and you missed it appearances in this video. Would be nice to hear about the work you put into it and the challenges you faced. How you went about adding the pickguard and routing the new bridge pickup. And an honest opinion on if it was all worth it. Would have it been better just to grab an Epiphone "Old Glory" to get basically the same thing? Does the personalizing of it make it that much more meaningful or special to you? I guess the video kinda makes itself lol.

Tells are amazing my Tele looks like danish Peet’s I bought mine secondhand and I have no idea but the body and neck are both Fender custom shop nocaster Relic body with Josefina Campos Texas special pickups. It is amazing! My skill level right now does not do my guitar justice yet lol

Great playing, love it. And Tele is still my number one. Use it in my Coverband for nearly every Song, it works.

If hole in the beck of your Tele turned into a tunnel you can swap the neck and the hardware onto another body ;-) Great video wit a lot of paasion and I`d love to see a presentation of your other guitars.

Those pickups sound like PAFs. And similar out-of-phase qualities when blended. I generaly gravitate towards mid-60s pickups but the pickups on your guitar are just amazing.

So you built a 50 s squier custom vibe! Every speck is the same except a little bit less gloss finish. And of course the pickups which is really up to sound you like
