I am always amazed at how good local Thai can speak and understand English. To be compare with Hong Kong, they are much willing to communicate. Nevertheless, It just a bonus, they have their own language that they are proud of.

Hey Chris, looks like you’re having a wonderful time in Phuket. I was lucky enough to stay for 10 days above Patong for my 50th birthday. It was a beautiful six bedroom house with an infinity pool. And one of our trips around the island, we hit the natural. What an amazing restaurant. Coming from decorating an art department for movies and TV shows, it was a very interesting fun job they did putting it together. Plus the food was just amazing! Not sure if you got a chance, but around the corner or down the street is a place where they process cashew nuts. Even got a chance to try the process myself. As I’m sure you know, cashews are poisonous until they go through this process. And it’s one nut per fruit that looks like a baby pear. It’s delicious fruit, but doesn’t last long enough to ship. I was lucky enough to eat one fresh right there. You too enjoy your stay in Phuket😊😋🤗

As a person born in Laos (grew up in America as well) and grew up on Laos and American food. Thai food just hits all the check marks for me. In fact I did not have real authentic Thai boat noodles until about 6 years ago and Khao soi until about 3 years ago, I cannot believe how incredibly good those were. The sucky part is its about 12$ a dish where I'm at. I'm jealous of you guys that get it for 2 bux or less.
