📍 Jadjan Restaurant (ร้านจัดจ้าน): www.eatingthaifood.com/jadjan...
PHUKET, THAILAND - Jadjan Restaurant (ร้านจัดจ้าน) is a laid back Thai street food / shophouse style restaurant where Chef Dang serves delicious family style Central and Southern Thai food. His friendly service, passion for cooking, and delicious food makes this restaurant a perfect place to have lunch or dinner when you’re in Phuket (ภูเก็ต)! #Phuket #Thailand #ThaiFood
We went for lunch, and I could immediately feel the passion and friendliness of Chef Dang, the owner and head chef of Jadjan Restaurant (ร้านจัดจ้าน). He welcomes you and he’s the type of Chef that will come and say hi to all of his customers - or if he’s busy, he’ll yell a greeting from the kitchen. He has all sorts of dishes on the menu, but mostly a mist of Southern Thai food, plus some Central Thai dishes, and then seasonal Phuket food ingredients like local seafood. The crab curry with betel leaves is one of his signature dishes, but unfortunately he didn't have it the day we went, so instead we had a fish curry which was outstanding. We also ordered stink beans stir fried with shrimp and minced pork, seafood tom yum, and probably the best deep fried squid with garlic I’ve ever had.
I highly recommend Jadjan Restaurant (ร้านจัดจ้าน) when you’re in Phuket, especially as a great laid back family restaurant. Jadjan was also included in the Michelin Guide to food in Phuket.
Total price - 910 THB ($28.95) - this is for everything we ordered

chef was so good, so fast and can multitask at everything at the same time. Being a solo cooks that cooks and chops vegetables and put everything on for table is not easy. Very skilled and inspiring at the same time indeed! You can tell is is a very experienced chef. Good you make me hungry and missed home-style Thai cooking back in my northern Thailand village. Thanks.

this is the first time I was struck with a jaw dropping awe, not from the delicious food, but chef's amazing hyper speed perfection from one burner to another. That guy is single handedly managing whole kitchen which is twice the size of a busy food joint kitchen itself.

The training for Marriot Hotel chefs in Asia is long arduous and thorough, graduates with experience are very high caliber chefs. Note that this guy's English language skills are also top notch. As an example, this man can completely skin and debone a whole chicken in less than a minute with a paring knife, and he learned that in his first few months of training, and probably did thousands of them. Marriot Chef graduates really really know their stuff.

Loved this video! Loved Matk stuck with a fan. Priceless! Loved Ying's interaction and always Mark does a family program, which is amazing! The only thing I found odd is the chef said 20 years in hotels and 21 years there. Considering he'd start working around 14yo, he looks pretty good for a 55yo guy 👦! Looking forward to seeing the next place!

Very tough guy, those hotel kitchens are grueling places to work, usually twelve hours a day working on your feet, running around, humping a lot of heavy stuff around, working over 600-degree hot pates, eye level broilers and on and on. Very tough to do what he's done in his life. But he toughed it out and now has his own restaurant. I'm very happy for him and will make a point of trying his delicious food. World class very high-quality meal in a laid-back atmosphere for$15 is a must do for me.

I'm not even in the food industry but I can really appreciate the hand skills this chef has. It's clearly evident that he's a master. I could just watch a video of him, or someone like him for a long time. He probably works very long hours at that pace too I bet.
