Loopholes are for getting around rules, whereas hoops are obstacles we need to 'jump through'. 'Jumping through loopholes' is a conflation of the two phrases suggesting that a workaround option is an obstacle when in fact, a workaround is meant to be a solution to a specific obstacle, not the obstacle itself.

If you are not in the High Roller or a Skilled Specialist class just keep hopping on a plane to a neighbouring country and return after a couple of days. It's legal and without any ridiculous investment amount and if you enjoy a quick change of scene and enjoy travel it's still the best way forward.

Great video Mike I've lived in Phuket on and off for 30 years and now on a retirement visa formally had a multiple entry non-immigrant .O Yes the Thai government are now fine tuning the visa process to attract younger people especially remote workers that will spend their cash in Thailand, its a win-win situation for everyone involved Mike.

As long as you can prove you have sufficient funds to last your stay there is no limit to how many times you can enter the kingdom of Thailand and that is the Law. Don't listen to all the bullshit about being turned away at the airport, it does not happen. Entering by land is a different matter

What exactly is the 'nomad' visa? Please elaborate...
@eduardomaldonado1647 Жыл бұрын
@@livinginphuketthailand To be more specific its the Digital Nomad visa. Basically you have to be a remote worker but requirement is 80k a year income. I still think the best cheap alternative is either a fight VISA or Student Visa. Older folks like myself 50 years or older is retirement visa or the Elite visa but they require to have 20-25k dollars in a thailand bank and has to be verified every year so basically you cannot spend it and is always frozen. If you cover the cost of the Elite visa its about 1k dollars a year which is comparable with the student visa. Student Visa does not require having such a large deposit in the bank. Student visa can study almost anything. Thai boxing, Thai language, Cooking, and many other things. Just have to attend like 3 hours a week I been told. Cough Cough wink wink.

I will have to unfortunately diagree on some of the points in this video. Considering the average salary in the US is $56,000 & in the UK it is £38,000. A salary of $80,000 is in fact not very attainable for most regular people, and not to forget that most people will probably be earning less than that with high living costs.

Hi Mike. I am coming to Thailand next month. My plan was to marry my Thai lady in a Thai wedding and then stay in Thailand. I am retired, with a pension approximately 43000 Thai baht a month. The non immigrant O visa requires me to whom 400,000 Thai baht on the application form for the visa, which I would then change to the marriage visa etc. I was told that as long as I transfer 40,000 Thai baht from a bank in England, where I live, to a bank in Thailand, that would be acceptable. If this is so, could you please tell me how it works. Thanking you. Kamal
