Thank you for the information Megan. I could not decide which way to go. You helped me narrow down my decision.

I use Elementor and i absolutley love it. i use Divi when a clients website is built with it but I feel like there is a lot of running around to different sections to get things done. Elementor is just drag and drop. I do like that you can build on the front end with divi.

Have you looked into webflow?

not yet, do you recommend??

@@MeganWeeks I have not tried it yet either. Wordpress has so many security flaws with plugins and core. Plus updates and maintenance are a pain for non paying clients. Might be great to eliminate all that hassle.

For a graphic designer/web designer, what information do you need from clients in order to build their website? Should all their info be already typed and images should already be provided? If so, how do you ask for this information or let them know that its required?? Thank you for the video btw!

Of course! Thanks for watching. I require my clients to provide me the images and content ideally a week or two before their project start date but I require this before we begin the web development phase. If they don’t provide me content in time, I use placeholders (Lorem ipsun language and stock photos). My recent video talks about how I get this information!

Deciding between Divi or Avada is like having to choose between a heart attack or stroke. They are both as bad as each other and given you're promoting these, tells me you have no idea, what you're talking about. The only motivation for you, is the affiliate link, come on let's be honest! If you are using WordPress, you'll do a great job with Gutenberg and the Kadence theme and a selection of block plug-ins, either free or paid. if you absolutely must use a page builder, get the Oxygen plug-in, which is a lifetime deal (builde as many sites as you want) There, that's some better advice and for free!

I’m sorry you feel so strongly against my recommendations… frankly I haven’t made a dime from my affiliate link lol so that has nothing to do with my video. This is based on my experience, research and preferences… do you have a video promoting your strong opinions about this? Maybe you should make one!

@@MeganWeeks Hello Megan, thanks for replying. I am not surprised to hear there has been no interest from your affiliate link, but to tell me, it has nothing to do with the video is wrong, otherwise you would not have included the link. I'm actually quite happy to hear there has been no interest, because as I mentioned, the combination of the Gutenberg editor, with the Kadence theme and some paid or unpaid blocks is all that is needed (for most beginners), to produce a clean and blazingly fast website. Divi and Avada (especially) add a huge amount of bloat to web pages, which cause loading time problems and hence lower ranking by the search engines. Also, both themes leave a short code mess on your pages and posts, if the theme is ever deactivated, meaning you can't ever switch to another theme, without completely re-building the site. I mentioned in my initial message, you do not know what you are talking about, so hopefully this update will enlighten you and your readers to some of the pitfalls of using these garbage page builders. I felt compelled to write my message, because I have strong feelings where your recommendations, which are motivated by an affiliate link, can actually cause problems for the person who makes the purchase. By definition, this would be from someone who is even less experienced than yourself, who during your own development path, will come to realise what I am saying is gospel. I am a developer (coder) with 20+ years of knowledge and build our sites from scratch, using 'Underscores' or the Genesis framework. I am not part of the growing band of KZbinrs, who have nothing better to offer than their opinion and prefer to provide a quality service for our clients. I realise I have been quite blunt and you might easily be offended by what I have written. This was not my intention though and I trust you will rise above it to see that I am actually talking sense. If not you, then I hope it helps any others that come across this message Iain
