Love New Orleans. My husband is from the area and we got married two years ago in Louis Armstrong Park. Correct pronunciation: Cafe au lait = cafe olay. Beignet = ben yay. Hope this helps 😊

Some of the best parades are the weekend before the weekend before Mardi Gras. They are more family friendly and the hotel rooms are cheaper than the weekend before to Mardi Gras Day

Worse place I've ever been to for a holiday. Drunks laying on the sidewalk. People eating and drinking out of waste bins. Children being exposed by perverts. Rubbish strune across the streets. It reminded me of the movie Mad Max. I visited places around the world, and I can honestly say New Orleans was one of the worst.
