Acai bowls are naturally nutrient-dense, however, I thought I should tell you a little more about spirulina. It is a photosynthetic bacteria that the ancient Mesoamericans used as a protein source. They harvested the bacteria from Lake Texcoco and made it into pressed cakes. Dried spirulina contains 60% protein and is an ecologically sound food source because it doesn't require large resources of land and water. The UN is studying it to combat malnutrition.

Disclaimer, first time I was on a horse, I doubt I was 2 years old. (That's how things are if you're ranch raised in Montana.) It's always cute to see people's reactions to their first time on a horse. Your "gallop" reminded me of a funny story where we once took a Japanese couple out on a mountain trail (15 - 20 miles of semi-wilderness). Of course when you go down a small slope, the horses go faster. And since the lady of the couple didn't speak English, I warned her by saying, "Banzai" at the first downhill. She then spoke her first English ever, "No, no, no Banzai." Every time we then got to a slope, she'd say again, "Oh no, no banzai" to her horse. (Dude ranch horse don't go faster than a trot anyway.)

Such a great story Michael! That mountain trail sounds like so much fun! But I’d definitely be gripping those reins really tight the whole way😅 mahalo!
@michaelwittkopp33792 жыл бұрын
@@AmandaFelixEats People love them. It takes about 2/3rds of a day, and usually includes a picnic lunch. Of course, none of the trails are difficult, and the horses know them very well. Just like with your little ride, each horse knows its position in line, and just follows the horse in front of it. The reins are there more to make you feel comfortable than serve any function.

What a great trip! Loved this adventure! Zip line in your list? Wink wink. We were considering ATV but they were closed due to covid last time! Wow, so are the two adventures together or were they booked separately? Looked like so much fun! Glad to see you had ppl walking alongside the horses. When I rode on horses at Dole, they said if the horse goes down on its front legs, get off and back away bc he’s gonna roll over! Whahhh ! But mine just went to sniff pineapples. The lilikoi bar at the coffee shop is bomb! My friend couldn’t stop raving about it. I wonder if they made your salted caramel coffee wrong? Didnt sound right… but your blue spirulina bowl sounded like the perfect way to end the day! Oh, on your adventure, was there bathrooms readily available? The coast looked amazing!
