What you think of a good time to visit with less tourists and how many days to cover Tokyo. Thanks
@IslandHopperTV Жыл бұрын
Probably less tourist in winter. Tokyo is just a very crowded place. All of the major cities in Japan are like this. Osaka same

In fact most of the crowding you see are the locals. Tourist make a small fraction of crowds.

My lord there are so many tourists... My last trip was back in December of 2019 right before the world shut down and it wasn't anywhere near this. Granted it was during early winter but still... lol. I'm making my way back out there in January and I pray that it isn't this congested!

This is interesting enough, but you went a bit overboard witht he monetizing. This video is constantly interrupted by commercials. I am around halfways through and it's happened already around 5 times.
@deaddrunkgamer73998 ай бұрын
Btw, your showing the Meiji area when you're saying this is yoyogi park. the information you're giving is correct but wrong name. its a commong misstake Yoyogi park has a different entrence. myself thought the same for several years. Also note that Meiji closes fairly early usually before the sun goes down for "safty" reasons. so check beforehand when that area is open. Yoyogi park on the other hand is open 24/7 as i could see. The shinjuku nightlife area you where showing is called Kabukicho. Slurping of noodles is to cool them down while being able to eat faster, showing appreciation to the chef is a myth. You do that by saying Itadakimasu before starting eating and Gochisosama deshita when leaving. tokyo metropolitan government building is free alternative for amazing view of the city so if you're allready in shinjuku i would deffinitly go there. Kabukicho tower is overhyped, if you're there by all means go inn, if not skip it, really not worth it, small arcade in second floor overpriced food stalls in first floort. they do have an interactive 3d experience that cost something cant remember the price at the top of my head.

The video was great, but your pronunciation is pretty wild, I had to rewind when I heard you pronounce "Kaminarimon", lol. I get that not everyone knows how to pronounce words in a language that they're not completely familiar with, but I've never heard it pronounced like that.

@@IslandHopperTV it's good enough to earn you a sub B)
@noby5456 Жыл бұрын
Japanese pronunciation is difficult for English speakers. English is a language of inflection and strong intonation. Japanese, on the other hand, is flat with no inflection and does not use the R and L tongues. This is why Japanese English has an accent. The "Kaminarimon" in this video is pronounced with a very strong English accent. If you say it like this to a Japanese person, he or she will not understand you. The Japanese pronunciation of "Kaminarimon" is not rhythmic, but flat, a little slower, and with the feeling of separating words with "ka-mi-na-ri-mo-n". It is Japanese.

I have several questions about these people, based on my encounters! please, I want someone reasonable to answer my questions, to explain things to me until the end without omitting the details, without bad faith! I can show you their comments and you must enlighten me!

You don’t have to slurp. It’s a myth that it’s a compliment to the chef. People do slurp, but it’s not rude if you don’t slurp.
