He actually said that this build is for mobbing and Boss DPSing build is a different thing. So... no DPS then. He also spent like 5 minutes talking about how TC explosion is an electric damage type (that doen't apply a debuff) but still is increased by electric modifiers and other damage modifiers. So it's pretty much how it looks like when you increase the explosion damage (crit damage and not crit chance). (But since the explosion doesn't apply electric debuff and it's for maxing explosion damage - Electric Conductor and Electric Enhancement are not really required.)

I don't know what you're talking about with the Thunder Cage having "low crit %" It's 20%, which is about average. Sure, it doesn't have a Sniper Rifle or Hand Cannon's crit, but 20% is pretty decent for a brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt weapon.

It's low for adding more. A 50% crit rate increase would only put you at 30%. You could buff your phenomenal 200% crit damage instead for when you get lucky with that 20%.

You can't max all those out in end game. Especially Electric enhancement. The different enhancement types that you need to put on for different bosses are different brands. So if you catalyst it only one enhancement will be there for you to use.

I spent four hours today farming for the electric conductor mod, was so relieved when I finally got it. Went to equip it and it wasn't there. Was really confused until I realised it was an orange ammo version of the same mod that's acquired from the same mission :'(

I noticed something you might be able to clarify, when you get the thunder cage ( or any other ultimate weapons) they are lvl 1 but the stats are in special colors and pretty high for lvl 1, when you consume a lvl 100 to upgrade that goes away and they become white and close to regular stats, I’m going to farm them again on hard to see if they are built lvl 100 with the special stats or not, but it’s a point to investigate

The weapon level upgrade only increases item level but leaves the stats as-is. You'll need to upgrade the weapon to 100 then re-roll the stats separately to get ilvl 100 values.

@@Leo-Draco ye the dps changes cause of the stats that the weopon provides, the shown dps is higher on the weopon like 330dps on level 1 if it maybe has a firearm % bonus on it, compared to a 300dps which has no firearm % on it, dont worry bout that one, the weopon stays the same just the stats make the main dps look a bit diffrent

I I have an actually tried that I’m not entirely sure why anyone would but I can see is you get carried away in the process of changing the polarity the type and then you find out you don’t like to set up and you have to put something in a sack and it doesn’t belong in, but why would you normally the weapon starts with specific and you’re gonna probably want to add more once you upgrade your module the one you know you’re going to use you’re gonna make sure those are in sockets that have their cost

Just getting started on end game. My question is... If I use and energy enhancment to increase mod capacity on my tamer i have now, will all future tamers i pickup automatically have an 80 capacity or does it only count on the tamer i used the capacity enhancement on? I dont have the greatest roll on my tamer so i have been waiting until I got a better one. Same question with catalysts. Thanks in advance. P.S i know i can reroll my tamer but thats really resource heavy too. Just curious how big of a commitment using these uogrades are. Ive been saving all of the ones tou get from completing the game.

I already spent two days grinding out my thunder cage, and making the 5 copies needed to max that proc, and not only is it the proc rate, its the size of the explosion. I was experimenting with the build, but this gives me a few ideas. I do wonder what having electric damage on the weapons sub rolls itself would do, and if it would open up a slot for something else if big enough. but.. that testing will have to wait. Its not cheap maxing out a thunder cage when it comes to kuiper, and time. let alone catalysts, and an energy converter. Even I haven't managed to do it completely yet. even though the perks have been maxed. I'm still running the story, so its not easy to get all such things yet. though after getting my skill power up high enough, it was fun taking it to kill those order of truth guys in the gulch that were mobbing me. they are weak to electric damage. just don't stand still long. they will kill you with toxic if given a chance.

Maybe I missed something in the video, but while I understand that Weak Point Damage is a 1 for 1 modifier, why commit 2 mods to it and prioritize maxing them above other stats when most mobs don't have weakpoints???? You said this was a mob clear build, right?

Almost all enemies in the game have at least 1 weak point. Regular enemy's heads count as weak point, while other mob types may have more body parts that count as well. Headshots are your method of delivery in this build and since you care most about the killshot to scale the explosion that's the goal.

On the left you say 100% Action&Reaction and 65% Have aiming, but on the modules on the right you show Action&Reaction unleveled and have aiming at level 10. Go off the priority order. The choice is yours on how far you want to Catalyst & Enhance, and if you plan on element locking or not. The percents help you decide which order to go in. Hope that helps!

the mods that do more damage during status effect arent that great. there are better mods. also your listing 2 electric mods when you have to change elements per boss. thundercage is a crit weapon which means its hard to squeeze in all those mods listed. which makes it seems your just listing max mods and not having max mods.

Idk about this build. I have 551452 dps on mine and +94% firearm attack 207.8% crit damage 47% crit hit rate Crit hits for 262335 pretty much every other bullet.

Shown dps is incorrect and 47% crit chance is multiplicative with the base crit chance of the weapon. So it's 20x1,47 = 29,4% of crit rate which is not every other bullet

I must have farmed out Electric Enhancement for 2 hrs, just to find out you can't put it on Thundercage (at leat I couldn't) because it's not for General Round firearms. Can't someone point me out how to get it onto Thunder Cage?

There are duplicate versions of most modules except they are separated by ammo type. You'll have to farm the General Rounds version to use it on that kind of weapon. You can also press G on PC and go to Access Info > Modules to see all the different versions.

The stat priority shows you which stats are more valuable. For the 4 bonus stats, simply roll until you get the best stats you can following that order. Since some of the stats don't appear in the Adjustment rolls, just skip over them in the priority list.

In my opinion Thunder Cage is a mobbing weapon, if you want to leave forma open to swap elements it makes sense on a single target DPS weapon. In this case, there are better options for that (EX: Python). Everyone can build how they want and that's why I included a priority order so you can choose how far you want to go in locking sockets.

Sorry but not sorry. Again, dont listen to this guy. This is not the best thunder cage build, its utterly nonsense. I believe this guy only farmes the attention this game gets right now and he knows it. You dont build it for weak point as a general allrounder clearweapon, why would you ? its base is only 1,2x thats terrible. I used thunder cage for all dungeons and hardmode bosses sitting at 626k tooltip dps. Maxed out i would have another empty spot with 12 capacity left to put in whatever you want. It has high crit rate and dmg multiplier, thats the main focus. He doesnt even use crit chance mods which will gain more value the more crit dmg you achieve. This guy is just fake and farms the " gaming guide bro" field.

Weak Point is a 1:1 scalar meaning it applies its full value due to where it sits in the equation. Crit Chance and Crit Damage are not and have a different weighting based on the weapon, which for Thunder Cage is much lower. Since both Crit and Weak Point apply to the explosion passive from the weapon Weak Point can (and usually does) outperform Crit depending on the amount applied.
