As a long time linux user who depended on i3wm for years, GlazeWM is a godsend. With a bit of tweaking of the keybindings I am totally at home on Windows 11.

Is there a way to get to apps across desktops using Alt+Tab? At present Alt+Tab selects apps within the currect workspace, but you have to move to the workspace that app is running is to get with Alt+Tab. I'm wondering if I have missed a configuration. Aerospace on my Mac seems to handle this better, but it's likely differences in implementation and OS so it just might be an edge-case GlazeVM can't handle?

I use Workspacer which is dynamic tiled. Glase wm seens to be manually tiled for what i could see, you can change it?

Man i wish Zebar had more functionality than this. Glaze is awesome btw and it definitely brought back some fun into windows.

There is no extra config needed for multiple monitors - it "just works". You start out with one workspace on each monitor and can activate more on demand by switching to one when a specific monitor has focus (Alt+3 to activate workspace 3, for example) or sending the currently focused app window to it (e.g. Shift+Alt+3)

I wanted to use this with Zebar but for some reason zebar isn't launching, does this work on windows 10 because I'm running windows 10 and zebar seems to not working or rather not launching

Are you sure zebar is installed? I initially chose the x64 download instead of the standard installer and realized after that that installer does not include zebar as an option. I installed it separately and then it worked as expected. Also make sure you are invoking zebar properly in your config - it used to use a batch file to start but now uses 'shell-execute zebar' ... details on in the change notes for the latest version of GlazeWM on github (on the releases page)

You simply can change where the workspace pops up on either monitor attached to your PC by using e.g: alt+shift+a /alt+shift+f which you can find in the keybindings in your config.yaml file, be sure you are on the workspace in question which you wish to cycle on a different monitor.

virtual desktops are already in windows, and you can switch between them with : win + crtl + arrow keys (left/right) to move around. If you want to go specific desktop, there's are few autohotkey scripts for it. Same with tiling windows, there are win + arrow keys to organize windows

The biggest downside to the built-in virtual desktops is that, with multiple monitors, switching the desktop on one monitor switches the desktop on all. You can pin an app on a virtual desktop to show on all manually but that is window by window and must be done every time an app is launched. It is also not easy to move apps on one monitor to a different virtual desktop on another monitor. Virtual desktops alsso have to be created first in Task View of by hotkey before they can be switched to. GlazeWM addresses all of those shortcomings and offers automatic window tiling on top of that. Tiling window managers do take a bit of adjustment to get used to but, if it clicks with you, it is really hard to go back to the standard way Windows "manages" windows.
