Im new to freelancing and one of the struggles i had was to find a time tracker that's user friendly. this is just perfect. thankyou.

If you're a freelancer... steering clear of these subscription-based apps is essential in making a profit. Just get Timings 2 or Qbserve which can also generate invoices too (although these are only Mac-based apps).

Agreed. Free trials go too soon and often im not even able to use it to its fullest, and subscriptions are starting to add up. Windows user here.

Agreed also. With this app the amount of personal information that you are handing over to a company is obscene.

Hi Ran, I find the concepts of timebuzzer and timeular more interesting. I like the idea of timely but don't really see the point of the software as long as the AI doesn't really work and I have to manually categorize all my work everyday.

Dude I love Timely! Been using it since 2014. The Memory Tracker is such a badass add-on.

Hi Raptor! I´m looking for alternative too. Did you find something ?

I use Toggl and have for years. I'll hold off on Timely. I'm trying to keep from adding another subscription to my budget but thanks for the demo. It's nice to see other options.

How do you find toggl?
@Markadown4 жыл бұрын
@@sonjab9182 I love Toggl. I think I've been using it for a decade now. I use it to track all side project activity and things I do in my day job. I view the reports monthly to see where I'm spending my time and if I am spending it on the proper projects and or activities.

Great video! Old -but still valid. From my side can recommend Indy tool (we are indy). Great software with free features which help to manage plenty of things (invoices, contracts, customers).

The production quality is excellent here. The way you articulate makes me want to follow your explanations seamlessly. I will stop searching for alternatives, switching from review to review, ultimately falling back into a loop. This is the video I needed. Thank you.

No "FREE PLAN"; No market share. Companies that do not support "Solo entrepreneurs" only seek to be money-making machines ("Pay To Try"). Hence, these types of companies are not truly that good when compared to their competitors. With a huge competition in the time tracking industry, I rather go with something that supports entrepreneurs across all levels, not just the big fishes. Moreover, that this video is geared toward freelancers, companies most offer a free version. Why? A smart freelancer, and true entrepreneur, bootstraps while testing tools. Even if she/he ends up paying for a tool afterwards, many of the same productivity goals can be achieved using some free tools. I always try free tools and have achieved almost the same results as those offered by paid tools. For instance, before paying to try I would give a shot to Harvest and Toggle. Unfortunately, this video only supports affiliate partners who get a big commission for promoting these types of tools. The reason why there is no free version; the paid version covers the commissions paid out to affiliates. So, it comes out of the pocket of the users.

Just because someone is using software and can tell that the person is using Photoshop doesn't mean that he was working on my project only. It should keep screenshots too.

Can it track apps that you run on your computer that are not connected to the internet? For example Solidworks, Adobe Premiere, etc.? Also does it work if you have no internet access at any given point in time.

I'm pretty good at remembering the timers, and Toggl will tell you when you've been inactive and delete that time for you, but I'd give this app a shot for sure :) I love how just about every one of these videos from the new office feature a siren at some point. I live and work on a main street in Chicago and it seems like every time I have a client call there is some siren going off haha. #freelanceproblems.

Timley isn't good at all. It doesn't even track that I opened illustrator. The idea of automatically tracking time is a cool idea but they failed with the execution and it's confusing how to actually track time with it. But honestly I'd rather I'd press a button and it tracks time when I want it to

I've looked into time tracking programs for some time now. However, I don't really think it's for me. I work for an accounting firm part-time, due to me going to school. Therefore, I'm not working every day, so I feel like my manual time-tracking in Excel is okay? Am I wrong here? When is it worth paying for a program like Timely?

Is there any Tool tracking Time, Software usage and taking Screenshots combined with Project/Task assignation running (only) locally on Windows? I would also prefer such a solution against any Cloud based service. Traqq is for free but has no Project/Task assignation and seems to run in the Cloud.
