BEST TIRE SET UP FOR EBIKES WITH PRO RIDER BEN MOORE

Hi Sam I have a Scott Genius 920 E-Ride that I purchased new 2 and a half years ago that came with HANS DAMPF on the back wheel and a MAGIC MARY on the front and I have to say this combination of tyres have proved to be a game changer for me. Up until then I just thought due to my limited experience with bikes in general that tyres are just tyres no big deal, but these tyres opened my eyes to a difference they make. Now I am not as aggressive a rider as you being a 68 year old rider but I take the bike out regularly at least twice a week and do a lot of technical climbing at Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula which I love and have found the tyres handle roots and rocks with ease. And to top it off after clocking up just close to 6000 Kls over the 2.5 years I have not had one puncture or failed tyre. I love these Schwalbe’s. Thanks for a great channel.

Hey Sam, what tires would you consider to be the best compromise for a Levo SL? I ride a lot without motor assistance, so rolling resistance and weight play an important role. I‘m not going super hard, no jumps, just single trails on which I can’t ride my XC hardtail… Thanks! PS. I tried a lot of different tyres, however I always came back to Schwalbe (Racing Ralph and Rocket Ron).

What about the optimum tyre pressures? Surly this will make a massive difference in terms of grip and performance

Sam ... quick question ... new rider on a Turbo Levo riding mostly Madrid souroundings, you will recommend Magic Mary and Big Betty super gravity both and soft compound ... what about sizing ... 2.6 or 2.4?

Im running inserts so going to 2.4 would make the steering quicker on singletrack without feeling too stiff? For enduro tracks same type of terrain I live in Lake Tahoe so dry rocky challenging super gravity front DH back? With inserts and 2.6 Maxxis I run 17 front 20 rear psi

Yes mate I would go ultra soft front 2.4 magic marry and soft back 2.4 and go DH casing if you can find them!

Hey mate I would go a ultra soft Magic on the front, big Betty if your riding steep stuff if just general trails riding go a hans on the back it’s better rolling and still has good grip.
