Put some Loon Bioglow strike putty on your tippet knot. Activate it with a UV flashlight and it will show you where your fly is, There is no need to buy any special line or a second reel spool for a night fishing fly line.

what do you mean? "Use of Lights (T14 CCR §2.15) Lights may be used when fishing at night when and where such fishing is permitted. Lights may be used on or as part of any fishing tackle (this supersedes Section 2005 of the Fish and Game Code)"

don't "need" it but it sure would be a nice help fishing at night. lots of things in fishing we don't "need" but they make the experience better.

Why I wanted anglers to know about this line is how useful it will be for night fishing on small streams and rivers. I know of some relatively small rivers in Michigan that harbour some very large brown trout who go on the prowl after sunset. This glowing tip will allow you to more accurately present the mouse pattern plus it will help you watch the backcast and ensure it doesn't go into the trees
