Hi Guys doin the
TP Link N300 Wireless Portable Nano Travel Router
Hub this thing is awesome I actually have used it
All my reviews are stuff I have used its just that simple
You want to call them life hacks product reviews
It’s not product reviews of thing I haven't experienced or done
And this little hub is kind of a game changer
I do a lot of traveling we have an rv i stay quite a bit
This hub I’ll tell you what
I am go ahead and start unboxing it here
And it is something else
Really made a big difference when I started traveling
As far as being able to connect to hotel internet
Or wireless or rv park wireless basically the same thing
You know when checking into a hotel or rv park
Usually they will give you a wireless code
At a hotel or rv park and ahh
It allows you see here the size of it
It allows you to essentially serve up that wireless
In your hotel room or your rv
And once you eventually have it all setup
Which is really simple done right thru the interface
It’s pretty straight forward
Actually some videos on their website
There's the reviews and the questions and answers reviews on Amazon
I will try and throw those down in description below to make it that much easier
By the way everything I have shown here if you want to pick it up its down in the description
So it's very simple the software os very simple
Again so it connects up to the ssid of the rv park or the hotel
That's the beauty of it and the other beauty of it
It also has and I hope the camera is picking this up let me make sure
Yep looks like it is
I am in the rv right now if you can tell
It's got a ethernet port right here it's a beautiful thing
So once you have it connected up to the hotel or the rv parks wireless
You can either go lets say you got an Xbox and your a gamer
Or you have you kids with you and they want to Xbox while your at your business meeting
You can hook it up straight through there
Now the speed that's another thing
Kinda depends on the hotel or the rv park but the internal speed is good
So basically allows you to serve up and another part is creates a ssid that you can connect up to Wirelessly while you're actually in your rv or in your hotel room
That is permanent comes with a little card you don’t want to lose the little card
That comes with it it basically has all your information on it
I going to hide the ssid haha
This card is probably the most important thing
You want to keep out of the box
Because that ssid for this little guy never changes
Its factory preset
Now what does change is some of the software as you set this thing up
I’ll try and include some screenshots of it too
It essential is pretty straight forward again
So you don’t want to lose that card
And then we got a couple other little items in here
Get that out of the way
Comes with cat5 you know thats pretty good to
So there is a couple different options when you set it up
You can either go wireless or you can go cat5
Into again the hotel or rv park
Then you got a charger standard usb charging cable
Which is great
If it a permanent situation that you would kind setup
You would plug this in as this is power
And you plug in this back part and you would leave it permanently connected
It’s not a chargeable device so yet this stays permanently connected with the usb
Then it’s got just other little information here general reading and the quick start guide here
So it pretty simple
You know when I received it I was amazed
By just the size of it you know this little thing
Does all that and it’s great because you can travel with it and it’s super lite weight
You can take it along with you
You know if you have a bag full of stuff
You know us as travelers especially if your a big time traveller
Like I kind of became in probably the last year
You know your bag just loads up
You know you got now batteries you can carry around an extra battery pack
This won’t add to it is what I am trying to say so it’s pretty small.

Can you connect it via ethernet cable straight out of the box, type in the SSID and use it as a Hotspot device for your Playstation/Xbox?

Thanks for watching Angel. You can, as long as you have hard wired internet.

Does this allow port forwarding or DMZ to increase NAT type from D to B? My Nintendo switch has NAT type D and I need to somehow increase it.

Update: For my purposes, it would not help to increase the NAT type.
