Best Travel Tripod for Adventures : Is the Ulanzi Ombra MT-55 worth it?

Okay, this looks like a great option for travelling with. It's always a fuss rationing baggage weight on flights when we're filming interstate for our main channel. Ulanzi have been absolute legends when it comes do decent lighting for low budget channels like ours😅😅. Also, it was cool to discover this channel from Think Media's challenge the other week. It was great to hear your story and it offered us a lot of valuable knowledge! ❤

I shouldn't be really as like you mentioned Ulanzi make really good products for content creators like us. I have one of their lights too that I sometimes mount on my gopro media mod and I've been really impressed with it so far. Thankyou for your kind words about my appearance on Think's 1000k challenge. Hey @wherethefcukiam ! Thanks for yoir comment and yes, you can attach your DSLR camera and then use the ball joint to set it to portrait mode. It's a very stable tripod made of high quality materials. Hope this helps.

Пластиковые фиксаторы на ножках не внушают доверия, причем в моем случае речь идет об одном из них, у остальных ход неплохой, без треска. Видеоголовка, разумеется, на непритязательного пользователя и ее даже можно настроить и контролировать, но при проводках она издает шумы, идущие на запись в микрофон камеры. Уверен, что это огрехи моего экземпляра, но плавающее качество от экземпляра к другому, признак наплевательского отношения к сути своей деятельности - ее конечному результату. В целом, все ходит туго и тяжело, а вес, по мнению БОрисабрытвы, признак надежности. Но не в этом случае, даже самое деликатное нажатие на сенсорную панель камеры выводит ее на этом штативе из состояния покоя. За центральную планку - раньше у меня был самый дешевый штатив с центральной планкой на ручном приводе, для вертикальной проводки это хорошо. Тут на фиксаторе, про проводку просто забудьте. Идущий в комплекте фиксатор (крепление) для смартфона, вообще капец. Мне важно оперативно перекидывать с горизонтальной ориентации на вертикаль. Добрые блогеры показали как это легко сделать на этом фиксаторе, а по факту он настолько хлипкий, что при смене горизонта его нужно вылавливать, причем на глаз, уровня в штативе нет. Опыт использования штатива - полчаса. Юланзи вроде недешевый Китай, недавно приобретенный мной осминожный штатив от них вроде неплох. Но считаю этот штатив более чем за сотню баксов не самой удачной покупкой. Размещу свой коммент и в других обзорах на ютубе, делайте осознанный выбор. Юланзи, давайте-ка работайте как положено.

Hey there! Thanks for your long and detailed comment. I have so far found the tripod to be very well made and reliable. Although it doesn't have something to keep the legs at full Extension like a lot of Tripods, that doesn't matter in this case as the legs stay firmly in place without it. I don't hear any noise when I move the head and I find the design makes it easy to switch between landscape and portrait shots. The mobile phone mount is easy to use, well made and def comes in handy . At around $80 AUD, I think it's a very good tripod at this price point. Thanks for yoir comments. Hey marcin3960! Thanks for your question. The MT-56 is a little heavier - 1.3kg compared to 1.1kg, it has pan tilt head - the MT-55 has a pan tilt dial - goes up to roughly the same height of 63 inches but costs more than $50 more than this model.
