@saran3g I think it's the way the DJI app is built. It works perfectly for IOS, I used it with my 15 pro max and it work very well. When I switch to my S20 ultra, the vibe is completely different.

We address this in the video, it's because there are so many android phones and they don't give developers like DJI full access to control the cameras.

I have both the Hohem M6 and the insta360 flow. Unfortunately I’ve had to return the M6 to be replaced as the dial came loose and malfunctioned. I’ve been using the insta360 flow a lot more recently because of this. Hopefully I’ll have no issues with the replacement M6 which is on its way. Hohem support was really good at resolving the issue and offering the replacement.

@@izzyforeally the AI tracking is better on the 360 and it’s more portable. The M6 had a far greater range of movement and takes a heavier payload so is probably better if you have extra lenses or filters. The 360 flow works fine with the Rhode wireless mic. But no good with a shot gun mic. The Hohem app isn’t great at all. I never use it. But it works fine with other video apps.

I got the Insta360 Flow for a solo trip and it was the best decision. I found it super easy to use and the built in selfie stick was great recording solo. Though I normally use Beast Cam or iPhone camera, I will occasionally use the DJI or the Insta360 app and their software is great for the tracking feature and for quick tutorials.

Thanks for this. I picked up an osmo 6, and that thing is SICK! Phenomenally capable! 14DF is still probably the best bang for the buck money of any kind I have ever spent, but it has a new competitor. And there is precious little competition.

They are all great for vertical outside of the Hohem needing to be manually switched over compared to the others where you can hit a button and it automatically switches over. And yes our course covers it!

I am a bit unclear on something. Does these apps allow for adjusting ISO, white balance, etc. or do I have to use the default camera that is not very good, in the sense that it automatically adjusts the white balance and makes for bad video

I'm very comfortable with tech, but just don't want to spend a load on a phone. My question is, would the app for the Insta 360 work on this old phone? Is there one for recording in the car? While moving, a lot of phone mounts don’t allow smooth stability. It’s hard trying to find one for car use.

Thanks for an awesome video. Need some advice. I'm considering DJI and InstaFlow options you mentioned in your video but I've got a few concerns. I'm using Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (I think I noticed you've got S23 in your videos which is almost the same), and I'm planning to use it with a tiny Boya bluetooth mic (I've got the one you showed in your other video) which is mandatory. I've also considered situations where I might want to add a small light to the setup. I saw some small lights that can be clipped on top and bottom of the mount. Would this setup be too heavy for the small ones you recommended? Also, one thing I was considering was occasionally using teleprompter app on Android like Bigvu. My concern is that I'd lose the auto-tracking function with the 2 cheaper options you recommended, since they require using their own app for that. So, I guess I'm left with HOHEM M6 then which would require carrying a bag with me I guess. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Yes for 60fps you need an SSD but you can skip that by using black magic camera app so that it'll record in internal storage.

Yes these are all smartphone gimbals. I would get the whichever DJI gimbal fits into your budget from their site! Personally I use the DJI ronin s which is old but still works perfectly

I bought a new DJI Osmo mobile 6... it is great for my iphone 15 pro max .... EXCEPT: It is way too HEAVY AND BIG to carry and use all day long while vacationing everyday... just way too much bulk. I would think the DJI pocket 3 would be far better if you plan to film all day, day after day.

I have the DJI osmo mobile 6. It's my first gimbal and I'm pretty happy with it. I have noticed that if it's sitting in slight windy conditions, you can notice slight movement when making videos. It also has some weight to it but I'm not sure how it compares to others, personally.

@@donnas8408 Lol, people complain about everything. If you look for something long enough, you'll probably find it. I've owned several phone gimbals and the Hohem is by far the best build quality + functionality.
