Not a glitch but more like an oversight - firebombs let you attack allies and cancel the alliance. Afterwards you can attack the enemy tribe normally but they are far less enthusiastic about fighting back, and if you destroy them it overrides your history of allying them. So while not useful for speedruns a normal playthrough can exploit this to easily go down the red path for tribal stage without getting gangbanged by all the other tribes.

@@perrytran9504 Hmm, I tried it but destroying an already allied tribe didn't change the History Timeline from allied to destroyed. It did lower the timeline because of killing the tribe members though. So I guess killing their members could still be grinded to make sure we get the Red Tribal exit.

@@KinglyValence Okay maybe that's what triggers it actually. When I played with this I just genocided the other tribes anyway before destroying their hut.

This isn't a glitch but still really useful for Tribal stage runs, especially if you're going for the "Friendly" trait to get Gracious Greeter. In Tribal, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th tribes will automatically spawn as soon as you have 70 food, but will only call out whatever instrument you started with during a performance because you haven't unlocked the others yet. You can exploit this to make all of the tribes friendly (blue face) with only a tribe of 6 members and Lv 3 social clothing before you've even made an alliance or conquered a tribe. These tribes will now stay friendly unless you anger them, leaving you to easily ally or kill them at your own pace without fear of getting ganked by other tribes. The only thing you have to do is be mindful of when the 5th tribe spawns so you can deal with them accordingly, you can make them friendly as well so you can deal with them when you're ready.

Good strategy! That's how I'll do a lot of the challenge runs like the pitiful worm as well! For creatures that move slowly it's really important to be able to control the pace of Tribal Stage :)

The free baby glitch is probably the easiest and most famous Spore glitch out there. Can't imagine not using it.

Last year I've been on a Spore nostalgia streak and came across a weird glitch in Tribal stage. I aimed for the friendly trait, so our tribe had to perform. But after each performance our Chieftain would continue waving his staff and thus couldn't join the next performance, so I had to kill him a bajillon of times to reset him over and over again. If only I knew about the Distracted Chieftain glitch back then xD

I haven't seen the Chieftain get stuck after the performance before, that's interesting. Sometimes the Chieftain can get stuck right before the performance as their pathing breaks and needs to be reset. Was this an earlier version of Spore or on the newer patches like Steam?

@@KinglyValence An earlier version, I think. Also, my creatures had four arms, so the Chieftain would have two staffs after the resets. However, whenever he got stuck in the loop, he had only one staff.

While not a glitch (I think), I noticed this while watching how other people play Tribal Stage compared to me I always see people gift the unfriendly villages by gifting their food stockpile, and from what I can gather the tribes turn unfriendly again after a while right? Meanwhile I gift the tribe by gifting one of their villagers *instead* of their food stockpile, and from what I know they never turn hostile again if you do it like this. I don't think I just have a weird copy of spore, as I have been doing this across multiple installations of the game, but I did always find it weird how people were talking about gifts not lasting forever while mine did TlDr; Try gifting the other tribes using their villagers instead of their food stockpile, they shouldn't turn hostile again even on hard

I tried it and that actually works! I can't believe I never knew gifting one of the rival members instead of their food pile keeps them from getting angry over time! I would gift their food supply because it was far more consistent to do, the other members don't always cooperate haha. Thanks for the strat! :D

i like how theres something new to learn about spore with each of these videos its funny that you cant save on the planet eith either the main menu thing OR ctrl+s, but you can save with ctrl+s in the communictaion screen. also note it said "Can not save during tutorial." for some reason its very funny that cities are like "oh its so great that you offered to give us this much money but actually didnt! oh of course i will gladly accept this much lower offer that we will actually get!"

I don't know what caused it, but my latest Spore playthrough had a glitched fishing spot. Every time I would send any tribe member to go and fish, the game would crash instantly upon their arrival

I swear one time I had a glitch that softlocked my save where a rival tribe spawned in the water and was instantly wiped out without filling my progress bar, but I've never seen it anywhere else, and I deleted the save, and I was a tiny child so I may have just been stupid and misunderstanding. This was also when my game was overall just being super buggy though, like across all saves sometimes words would spawn in with the terrain very sharply rising or lowering into incredibly thin walls or trenches in a grid pattern across the whole planet and I have no idea what caused that.

Hmm that's strange I haven't encountered that either haha. I think previous versions of the game had very buggy terrain like with spawning in the water starting Creature Stage, so it would make sense that a tribe could have spawned in the water as well and got destroyed. But playing mostly on the latest version myself it hasn't happened to me, maybe it was fixed/patched :)

i think i found another glitch in tribal, one of my tribe members would not stop radiating the creature domesticating music off of them, it even continued through the town hall cutscene

Not really a glitch but definitely a major exploit. If you click to steal food from another tribe then have that tribe member attack something else it will drop the food basket on the ground. You can then tell it to steal again before it goes back home. You can repeat this to quickly steal all the food from an enemy tribe. I believe you need to have spit as an ability from Creature stage for this one and no weapon. But I've never tested the full extent. The enemy tribe will not move to pick up and return the baskets and you can collect them after the battle is over.

a few week's ago i had a glitch happen where i was inside of space stage game, and my tribal stage creature spawned on my planet as a creature, that made it so i could use the space stage editor to edit the creature and save it to my account, sadly since then i got a virus on my and i had to restard my computer and i lost the space game and everything on my account, i tryed to do this glitch many time's again and it has not worked since, im still working on trying to find these glitches again, i hope to see more new glitches and tricks to spore for more freedom, i hope this info can be used to discover more! :) i for got to say it but the tribal stage parts acctualy made my creature stronger by health and damage

This glitch is supposedly old as dirt but I've never actually seen it documented: is it true that creature mode softlocks if you use a 1.0.6 robot parts mouth (no sing stats) and no other social parts?

With no mouth or a mouth without Sing, when trying to socialize with another creature the game will always crash. But I think it should still possible to pass Creature Stage by getting DNA points through killing, eggs, and migrating :)

Have you ever tried attaching different mouthes that do have sing? I have no idea how you even get the bot parts, so I can’t try it out myself, but that might work. (Plus the filter feeder is really easy to hide if you’re worried about the appearance)

The galaxy file is located in the Appdata Roaming folder, found by searching "%appdata%" into Windows search. It will be the folder labeled "Spore" and includes downloaded creations and achievements :)

What stats transfer from creature to tribe? Does the level matter?

Pretty much just the feet, actually. The mouth(es) of the creature also determine the diet of your creature, but you really only have to worry about that if you’re going omnivore. You don’t even need hands or arms in tribal, actually. (Also yes, the level of the speed your creature gets from its feet carry on into tribal)

It does also effect how good they are at attacking, they use their creature stage attacks when not using their weapons (which is pretty noticeable with some attacks, like spit and charge). The health boost from the creature stage health stat also takes affect, and will stack with tribal stage and galactic adventures health boosting items. They will also visibly fly from time to time (tho the terrain is pretty flat in tribal stage; i don't know if it makes them faster, or is just a visual thing). I swear I've heard a tip somewhere that social parts may affect your tribal socializing ability, but I haven't really noticed any difference in that at all myself. I've also never really seen them get much use out of jumping or sneaking or sprinting. Since Galactic Adventures almost never use the socializing stat, I find it's usually best to just in invest in attacking abilities and health boosting (useful in tribal and adventures) and mobility (mostly useful only in adventures). So if you want, you could dump all the socializing parts (and blue abilities other then walking speed, if you don't have/care about Galactic Adventures) when you advance to tribal.

8:24 What do you mean this "isn't a softlock"? Without any other tribe members, you can't ally with other tribes. And while you could attack other tribes with just your chieftain, I don't think you could succeed since you're so heavily outnumbered. (Maybe you could on Easy, though.) Being unable to win or lose sounds a lot like a softlock to me.

Even with the Main Hut physically destroyed, the Tribal Planner and buying babies still works. So the Chieftain being able to respawn for free, they can still gather food to buy new babies and continue playing through Tribal Stage like normal :)

@@heartbeat4atinman Something interesting that I didn't end up showing was when we survived the Hut being destroyed, the food count goes to 0, but the food in storage doesn't go away. Our tribe members then picked up the food from our storage and placed it back down lol.
