i KNEW captain abilities worked in creature stage i knew it!!! are there editor values for the cut/unused editors like the cake editor? i guess it doesnt matter anyways if this only affects the creatures you can drop in. i just wonder if theres a way to enter the cake editor and such, without mods

I'm tempted to see if you could complete a solo run using a single captain creature That would be creature + tribe stage, no packmates, pets, or tribe members Given this video though, that might actually be a bit too easy lol

I feel like for tribe stage specially, having all captain attacks except missile is the best to avoid friendly fire

Oh, that's really cool! I figured GA was running on the same underlying framework as creature stage, but seeing this stuff ports directly over to _tribal_ as well is awesome. Also, helps explain why tribal stage is so broken; running an RTS using the same code as an ARPG is pretty ambitious. I have gained a new appreciation for the Spore team today.

Really unfortunate that it is impossible to have more than 10 Captain equipment in the regular game. And there is no choice of what type of item to pick from a row. I would like to have a captain that has a rocket launcher and a freeze spell but it would take 5 levels on items I don't want. I think Maxis didn't put much thought into it.
