Pedigree analysis was developed to understand the inheritance of genes from parents to offspring. It was developed as a chart that can represent a family tree along with the family members and their genetic traits, respectively. There are 4 types of pedigrees: 1. Autosomal Dominant 2. Autosomal Recessive 3. X-linked Dominant 4. X-lined Recessive - Autosomal disorder: is a disease caused by a gene located on a chromosome other than a sex chromosome - Autosomal Dominant: One copy of the gene mutation from a parent causes the disorder with a 50% chance of inheritance. It is a heterozygous condition - Autosomal Recessive: Two copies of the gene mutation (one from each parent) are needed for the disorder, with a 25% chance of inheritance. It is a homozygous condition - X-linked inheritance is a biological process which involves the transmission of traits or characters from parents to offspring - X-linked Dominant: Inherited through the X chromosome, one copy of the gene mutation causes the disorder, usually affecting females more severely. - X-linked Recessive: Linked to the X chromosome, one recessive allele causes the disorder, and carrier females can pass it to their sons. Male-to-male transmission is typically not possible - Regarding the trick, It is not necessary that the disease won't happen to another gender at that stage but you will find a Criss cross pattern in the heredity for sure. The answer to your homework is: Autosomal recessive. Hope this video was helpful and let me know which topic should i make next trick videos on. . . . #neet2024 #biologystudent #cbseboards #futuredoctor #pedigree #neetug

@@Oreoreo_O 1 step : we have to decide between dominant and recessive. If the disease is present in all generations (1st gen, 2nd, 3rd ) then it is DOMINANT otherwise recessive. Then we have to decide between autosomal and sex linked disease. In sex linked disease there is a criss cross pattern observed (father to daughter to son) . If this pattern is present then it is sex linked others autosomal.

How explain please
@hellobye-v2q6 ай бұрын
@@Aniplot_3 firstly keep in mind that there 3 possibilities: 1.parents are diseased (shown by fully coloured shapes) 2. parents are carriers (shown by hollow shapes...this is possible only in case of rescessive disease beat it sex linked or autosomal) 3. parents are normal that is no disease(also shown by hollow shapes) So now see the first (red) parents are not diseased but their one son and female is . if the parents had a dominant disease then even they would have been diseased and shown by filled shapes (maybe either of the parent or both) but they are not diseased so it means that they are carrier (understood becoz otherwse how will the progeny acquire the disease if the parent is not affected) ..and carriers are only possible incase of recessive genes secondly if u see the blue coloured generation ... then there is no criss cross pattern followed ..which means that since the son is diseased then his mother should have been diseased as well but she is not. so no criss cross then its not a sex linked disease but rather an autosomal disease.

Simple explanation: generation skip hua hai ...parents me nhi hai disease, so it's recessive and cross cross pattern nahi hai so it is autosomal
