In my room, I have an LG 55" C1 OLED TV, and it's the best TV I've ever had! The 2nd bedroom, just a cheap TCL 50" 4 series TV, and in the living room, a 70" Vizio M7 series tv, it has everything basic I want, it has Dolby Vision, huge, QLED, and dirt cheap for the price of $650. The only TV that counts the most is the one in my room, I barely have company, I'm not trying to please everybody, or trying to hang with the Joneses'.

As long as the TV you bought looks good to you, that's all that counts. Don't get me wrong, it's great listening to reviewers, but they get to the point where they'll nick pick even the tiniest thing, and dog it out, like as they got it out of the box, a piece of a corner of the styrofoam broke off, which means they had bad quality control, and they'll take off massive points off something that has absolute zero usage to the TV, and that makes me mad!
@Mega63272 жыл бұрын
Agreed I’m betting there isn’t a single tv or gaming monitor for sale that they can’t and will nit pick apart. Can be a five star product and they will always find something if they nit pick enough. Try and find ANY product without a video saying this or that is bad cause I guarantee you won’t find a single one. If the reviews are saying 4.9 out of thousands of reviews I’m going with the majority not some random person on KZbin giving HIS opinion.

I’m not sure if I had horseshoes or 4 leaf clover’s up my rear, but in 2015 I was glancing at a flyer that came in the mail and I was about to toss it into the recycle bin when something caught my eye. A Sony Bravia 65” with an 8 speaker surround sound system, 3D, with 2 pairs of glasses, a slim PS3 ( I’ve got the original PS3, the bulky one, not sure if it’s worth anything, firmware, updates, are up to date) and a beautiful three tier rosewood TV stand for 1500$ at Future Shop ( I live in Canada ) I couldn’t drive fast enough to the store. The sales guy looks at me and said, no way, all that stuff for 1500$? He looked it up and sure enough it was the real deal. He had one in stock, I loaded everything into my truck and had it setup before my wife got home from work. She was in seventh heaven. I still have it, a ton of 3D movies and a region free DVD player. I can play a DVD from anywhere in the world. It still works perfectly. I don’t think I’ll ever have to buy a new tv ever again. I’ve never seen a tv with 8 HDMI ports. That was a very lucky day. In fact I’m watching your channel on it right now.

The Vizio was on our wall for about a week and I had to return it. The LG was my favorite. I don’t trust Samsung with the backlighting issues. I don’t like the Vizio as the picture quality sucks but I do like the LG and I would really like to get the OLED as it doesn’t use backlighting but rather direct pixel lighting.

Wow. This was a great review vlog that clearly pointed out pros and cons for each TV. I was hoping the Samsung would’ve fared much better than it did. I was leaning toward a Samsung model to replace our 17 yr old Plasma TV😭 (Philips brand) which is starting to fail. We spent over $1k for it, because I wanted the Ambilight🥰 which still works well. So I need to replace both the TV and Ambisound bar/sun, but I don’t want to spend that much on a TV this time though. I have been on YT, Amazon, Crutchfield, the last several days trying to narrow down the choices. The TCL is nice, but I’m still leaning toward Samsung. Could you do an all Samsung TV review? jk 😆 TFS!!!👍🏽

This is something I am really curious about, the reliability of these new TVs and brands like TCL and Hisense. I currently have a 40”Samsung LED which will be 10 years old in a few months. I am looking at replacement options and would like to get a similar life out of the TV. So hearing about expected reliability (because every device is different) would be real interesting. I know of someone who has a 2 year old Hisense that has failed. I would rather drop the extra for an LG or Samsung if it’s going to last 10 yrs vs 1-2.

My experience with TCL is that, at 2 yrs and 2 wks old, the display started to lose resolution from the top down and the corners. Luckily, I bought it from Costco with an extended warranty! I do agree that the sound has more bass. I am in an apartment which does not allow sound bars (or any amplified sound), which makes inherent sound quality an issue. Currently looking for a replacement TV, so maybe LG is the way to go…or I will consider OLED options over $1K. Thanks for all you do! Love all your videos but really enjoy the iPhone 13 videos as I have one. Thanks again!!!

Your Q70A must be defective. My interface is super fast but I do have to run the “Device Care” ( aka reboot) feature about once a month to keep it running fast. All VA panels have a narrow viewing angle but your angle is ridiculously narrow so something is wrong on yours. I’m not having even one of the issues your having. A problem with all brands of TV’s these days is panel consistency because none of the manufacturers make their own panels anymore
@PayetteForward2 жыл бұрын
That's a thoughtful comment! I'm not sure it's defective, though - as a Samsung QN85A user at home, I'm used to the somewhat slow interface, especially after a reboot. Bear in mind we were testing all of these TVs one after the other, so we were keyed in on which ones were zippy and which ones worth. But by no means did we strongly dislike the Samsung - we were just lukewarm on it.

These guys seem to know what they’re talking about to the untrained eye but they don’t. They strike me as two old frat bros saying random words they don’t really know but say them because they learned them after watching an hour of KZbin videos before making this video. No actual technical testing or knowledge of hardware, tech, firmware or software. Just throwing out opinions which are for the most part not actually helpful unless you’re an older person with no tech experience. They are also very biased yet try to sell their biased opinions as fact while never mentioning that all of the “colors” “gradients” “temp” etc that they keep mentioning they didn’t like or wasn’t black enough or white enough etc is all just the out of the box settings. The title should read “our opinions on the best out of the box sub 1000$ tv with no actual testing as well as griping and moaning about the remote size, the remote button size and the app buttons. Come for the tv review and stay for the constant misuse of the terms OLED and LCD as well as us ignoring our blatant color blindness and blaming it on the TVs ”. Lol Jesus someone tell them it’s OH=led not O L E D and that LCD isn’t the right word haha come on is it an LED, Mini LED, Micro LED, Quantum Dot LED? Is it edge lit, back lit, full array, full array with local dimming and if so how many dimming zones? If you’re going to review something at least learn the basics… and also do another review after calibrating them so we know if they really are bad or if you’re just idiots. Worst TV review ever… I’d get better information if I brought up that I wanted to get a new TV in front of two boomers who just went to Best Buy to learn about them and let them go off on which TV I should get.

Good to know about that Sony TV with regards to some reason needing to sign in with your Google account? As I hate Google and I use them as little as possible, and I never sign in to a peripheral device with Google. As if say Google terminated someone's KZbin account for no reason. And say that person decides to later delete their Google account to create a new Google/KZbin account. And they may be able to detect that you did that since you've already sign in to your TV before with your old account, which they've probably got logged, and then you sign in with your new account.

Bottom-line fellas, you love Fillet Mignon while critiquing Hamburger. Nothing wrong with having expensive taste, shit I would if I could afford it. But I can't which is why I stopped to watch you - then I found it comical watching Rich Boys complaining about a 'remote that makes your hand sweaty' 😂. Do you honestly think that those of us on a budget, trying to learn which smart tv has the better specs and hopefully get a better Bang For A Buck care about 'sweaty palms'? I see many tv underpowered at the cpu/gpu level (a 2012 iphone is more powerful) so do yourself a favor and buy a chromecast fire stick or roku to go with it. You get crap sound with Vizio and Samsung uses non-ips panels in their mid level tv for darker blacks. Nanocell technology is an improvement but not a good reason to buy LG if it costs $100 more because it just isn't that much better! Ultimately, get a bigger screen and you will see more detail in 4k. If you are on a budget, nothing wrong with TCL or Hisense but be picky and read the reviews to get the least buggy model.

Was excited to see this under $1K tv comparison but came away disappointed to know if I was in the market now, after this video, I wouldn't buy any of the 7 TVs. I don't like cheating myself on hardware if I can so it looks like when and if I get another TV, ever, I'll be forking out at least another $300.00 plus tax and possibly delivery charges. This does not discount the show's production at all, nice discussion for this kind of video production. I just had a little more hope for being able to not cheat myself on hardware including future-proofing without getting too deep into the old old wallet. :-) But I guess it's 2022 and economies being what they are, dang!

Guy's Groovy Grab Bag, works a cash and carry plan: you carry in the cash, and carry out the merchandise

I haven't heard someone use the phrase "to the max" since I was a kid back in the 80's, thanks for that it brought me back.

I think you guys got a bad tv or something, my Amazon tv worked fine and the blacks were black and the whites were bright, my tv is the opposite of what you guys described

What were you thinking, you buy an Amazon Fire TV for around 300 bucks and another one for 869 bucks. What was the point of that, how could you possibly compare them fairly given the price point's. Now if you had bought 6 tv's at just under 1000 bucks then compared them then that would have been more useful.

Better TVs you didn.t include Hisence U7k. TCL Q7 are a better. THe title says best of 2023 . How do you make a list for 2023 before the 2023 TVs are even released?
