I just love you guys! I’m in the same boat as you but not with twins! I have a 9 week old little girl. I do have to say night time has gotten easier. What has worked for me. Nap with noise and lights on during the day and bedtime feed and put down in dark with a night light. It gets them used to knowing it’s bed time. Also you might not think they are gassy but they are. You should try the frida baby windi’s. AMAZING! they are very weird and gross but amazing! They were almost life changing! You guys are doing amazing!

So I’m not suggesting this to you as a pushy mom. In the days before the new wave of doctors decided that babies need to wait till they are 6 months old to eat food, most babies were given a little bit of rice cereal at night, either from a spoon or mixed in their bottle before bed. Just a tsp or so. My kids all started rice cereal by 4 weeks, and all 3 slept through the night by 6 weeks. Us old school moms also started fruits and veggies by 3 months. It’s been documented that babies who started early didn’t have food allergies the way that babies do now.

Some great advice i got with my twins was to create a routine. To do everything at the same time of night every night. Bath time...feeding ect. That way they will start to realize its bed time😉
@sallycroft21916 жыл бұрын
I noticed both babies are filling out. Lyndle in the face and Bear all over. Just know while you are so tired this stage doesn't last forever. Love the team work for night routine, with everything all set up. Due to complications of severe hemorraging and almost lost my life, after birth of my twins. My Mom flew 3,000 miles and stayed for 2.5 months. She was a God send. My husband was coping with newborn twins and a very ill wife in hospital..

I found my son was really fussy every few weeks (more than normal as he was a terribly colic baby) when he was experiencing a 'Wonder Week' which is essentially a week of growth spurts/learning something new. Theres an app i think that tells u all about it and tells u when they could be expected to be in a wonder week as well which is handy. It costs from memory but was really handy :)

I agree, babies definitely cry for no reason sometimes 😂 I wouldn't get too excited about less night feedings, no offense! My four month old still wakes up pretty much every 3 hours to eat and has since birth (even being formula fed). Something I've found that really helps is getting in a good nighttime routine and getting used to an early bedtime. My son sleeps 7-7 (with feedings) and having those few hours alone with my spouse at night makes a HUGE difference, even knowing I'll be waking up to feed him.

I loved my pediatrician for Caleb. I went to him for the two month check-up and said, hey doc, how long can a two month old go without food comfortably? Like eight hours? Sure, he said, they can go 12 if you want. 12!!? I will settle for eight. That night, playtime was OVER! He bawled, I bawled. We both went to sleep exhausted and he never woke up at night for hunger again. Life was sweet! And then there was teething. Oh well....😂

FTM... I have an almost 5 month old and when she hit 4 to 5 weeks she cried every evening for 2 weeks despite being fed, changed, burped, and having slept. It got to the point where I took her to the emergency because she was crying as if she was in pain (her temp was normal and all the necessities of life were taken care of) and after checking her all they told me was that babies cry lol

I had 4 live births and none of them had Colic or “Purple Crying”. They cried to be fed and then they were content and crying stopped. I don’t understand why “doctors” now say all babies have colic. Sorry but that is not true. If your babies cry it is for a reason. Either they need to be burped, soothed, fed or their diaper changed. Watch what you eat so your food is not too spicy for your babies. Trust your own judgment on your babies and relax. You will notice they will have growth spurts and they will be needing to nurse more often to build their milk supply. So be prepared they will cry to want to eat. Then there is teething. All my babies teethed early. My first born had two bottom teeth at four months. My youngest had two bottom teeth before she was three months. Every baby is different so don’t rely on books to solve your problems. Use what God gave you, your instincts and you will get through this just fine.

Love you guys but saying you kept the babies alive is really hurtful for those of us who lost children to SIDs and SUDC( sudden unexplained death in children 1-18years old) I lost my 20 month old to SUDC. He went to bed and didn't wake up and there is no cause of death. I love watching you guy to brighten my day, so I just thought I would share. For more info you can visit the SUDC foundation at SUDC.org. Xoxo
