Best Two Saddlebag Safety Bolts for Harley-Davidson Baggers

Many have tried to make aftermarket Harley saddlebag safety bolts over the years. I wanted to share with you what I believe are the best two options, each varying in price. Harley-Davidson has had issues over the years with saddlebags actually coming off while riding down the road. Forget the damage to the saddlebag it causes, but that could be very serious if you're riding in a group or for any other motorists following you. Forget those flimsy stock quarter turn pins that we have all dealt with for years and never really trusted. Harley-Davidson even had several recalls on those 1/4 turn pins and my 2014 Harley Street Glide Special had a recall on them. They just replaced the pins with different pins and a spring nut and they are still junk.

Ryan......Got mine yesterday from you guys. My FLHTP has the Harley saddlebag liners and the 2 holes at the top of the liners are larger than the stock bolts. What's great about the new ones is that the larger bolt head holds the liner damned tight against the saddlebag. Works great and I dare those bags to come flying off now. Really useful and functional product.

I've been using Biker Bolts on my 2012 for 5 years. It comes with a allen rachett. Yeah I would like a knob but I've never had a problem... Good product...

I have the orginal all metal ones. Had them on my street glide and now a set on my road glide! Great product!

I got my kit today. It was mailed out the same day that I ordered it. I went through the HD recall and there is a ton of play in one of the bags. Bike is in for warranty work. As soon as it comes home these are going on it.

Nice ! But I kind of like the HD 1/4 turns quick on and off . But I have a 2012 Police bike so my bags have full guards around them so they cant fall off ....

The ones on my ‘19 seem pretty solid. I’ve never heard of them backing out with the ratcheting fasteners. Am I missing something?

It's an issue on the bikes without the ratcheting fasteners.

Have a 2018 with the new type fasteners. They are very light and seem very breakable. Will be replacing them with LAB version. Thanks.
