You NEED these!! Hogworkz Hogknobz Saddlebag Safety Screw Install for Harley Davidson Touring Models

Hey Guys! Welcome, Today we're installing a saddlebag safety screw. The screws used in today's video are from Hogworkz.. more specifically their called the Hogknobz. Safety screws are a wonderful option if your saddlebags still have the old twist pins. Those were known to fail, thats why Harley had a recall on them awhile back. These will fit any Harley touring model. For right around $20 its a Piece of mind knowing your saddlebags are safe!

Aw, shucks. Sorry to hear about that! When you do get a replacement bag, I’d go with a setup like this, however I’d look for a more heavy duty spring clip. We actually had one of the hogworks spring clips break while on a trip a year ago. I forget what we got to replace them other than J&P cycles sold it. Best of luck brother!

Could you even put a bolt on the other side for extra security?

Unfortunately no, they thread through the back side. I’m sure if you really wanted to you could possibly find a c-clip or e-clip that might work for the backside but it would be a pain when you want to take your saddle bags off
