I'm having same car , last year I changed to 205/55/R16 and new after market R16 alloy wheels. Tire is slightly out of the body. Since then with full load fender is touching tyre. I dont know whether the problem is with wheels or tyres.

no problem, will get better grip, stability and ride quality, also will benefit 5-6mm of increase in ground clearance. Only compromised done is fuel efficiency droop by 1-1.5kmpl,which can be overlooked coz of other benefits, that's it

You can choose 205/60R16 for better ground clearance. I used it for 2 years. It feels more bumpy and felt less confident in braking. No under body touching. Go for 205/55R16. It has better ground clearance than 205/50R16.
